Had to stop by and take a peak, mostly frozen this time of year. But still very beautiful and a great walk around this area.

Yes this is a pleasant stop if you have the time, the waterfalls were quite impressive but I didn't think they went beyond that. I wouldn't say they qualify as a must-see - where say somewhere like Lake Minnewanka definitely is. If you're short for...More

I’ve seen photos of Bow falls in summer, which is prettier than it was in the middle of spring. The area was gorgeous, but this whole town is! I walked here from the town centre - it was a nice walk - in sneakers.

From town we walked to the Bow Falls Trail. We enjoyed it so much! It was beautiful & peaceful. There were people walking on the frozen river. It didn't look too dangerous, but we just weren't daring enough. Be prepared there are some steps and...More

You can take a trail up the steps to have a good view too. Or just sit around to immersed yourself with the roaring falls and fresh air

We are staying at the Fairmont and happened upon this by accident having a walk from the hotel. We walked across the frozen river this area is so beautiful. Would now like to see it in the summer !

Saw Bow Falls twice during our holiday. On the guided visit our guide explained that there is one part of the falls which never freezes. There's also a tiny beach there!! ONly visible in summer of course! Well worth a visit.

Visited last week and found the falls were mostly frozen. The river that flowed from the fall areas was running pretty well and gave me a perspective on how deep the snow was. Very picturesque, especially with mountains in the background. Make sure you wear...More

We were driving around Banff checking out the sights. Did a stop in to Bow Fall. Pretty but not much to see in the winter.

March 20 and the falls are still almost frozen. A couple of places the water is breaking through. A beautiful scene. Good views of mountains full of snow on top.

The paths are almost all paved and with built in steps so not steep at all but you need to be okay with stairs. About a 3 minute drive to the parking lot from centre of town.
