This arc is on the way from the downtown through expiatorio to the leather zone. It is a nice landmark that you should pass through. There is a small pedestrian zone behind it, which is very nice for a walk and leads to leather zone.
Leon's answer to Paris' Arc de Triomphe, or Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, this imposing structure marks the entrance to the downtown area. To the west is a nice walking area with big leafy trees and plenty of benches for resting.
Is just in the right point to start a wonderful walk around 5 to go all the way to the plaza principal, passing by the templo expiatorio, and enjoy a refreshing Mexican hand made gelato.
