We spent a glorious day at Elafonissi Beach in early April. There were very few other people at the beach - it was tremendous! We wore wet suits and the water was cold, but completely enjoyable - crystal clear and shallow quite far out. We...More

If natural beauty is your thing this is one of the places to visit very unique and unspoilt as nature reserves should be. The amenities are a little sparse again just as a nature reserve should be. For me spring or autumn are the seasons...More

It was quite windy at the day of our visit so the windsurfers and kiteboarders seemed to have the day of their lives but we had to find shelter close to the parking. On the other hand we had the benefit of not so many...More

Getting to this beach was an adventure on the winding narrow cliff roads which had a lot of erosion issues under maintenance. It was scary but the beach was definitely worth the drive. It is truly one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen....More

If you are in Crete you have to visit this Caribbean style beach with pink sand and clear blue water..it is better to avoid the crowds of August and the best time is either before noon or after 5 o'clock..do not miss it!

Elafonissi beach is on the top ten list of places to visit while in Crete. The beach is definitely beautiful, the sand is pink but not pink enough, we went in mid April and was very windy and a bit cold, that didn’t stop some...More

If in April there were maybe 100 people, I am guessing in June there is no room to breathe in this area. Also don’t expect some surreal landscape, it is a beautiful beach with pinkysh sand in some areas, but mostly white sand.

Sorry, I can't say. We drove (rented a car), but surely if you are in a resort or apartment the reception/owner will recommend a travel agent/day trip service to take. There are tons of those that go here, I believe.
