This is a great hike, and definitely worth seeing from the top, but if you plan to do this, definitely do it in the Summer. Since there is barely anything that resembles a "trail", you would just be creating your own path in the snow...More

We did the hike in Sep. 2016, at this time they were already building a new hiking track up Reinebringen, because the existing one ist pretty steep and sometimes slippery (especially when it's wet). To get there just walk out of Reine and left of...More

Short steep climb to the mountain right above the fjord. I would not recommend doing it after rain and definitely bring proper shoes. Otherwise it is not dangerous and the views are definitely worth it.

It's not forbidden or illegal in any way to hike up, but authorities recommends not to as it is somewhat steep and potentially unsafe if not hiking with care (there is a sign a the start). Will be a lot easier to get up when...More

The view of Reine and the fjord from here is amazing. The route up is steep and slippery, especially when wet, and getting down is even harder. There is work underway to improve the route with stone steps, but this is only 10-20% complete, and...More

I'm an experienced hiker, but we gave up around 80% of the way into the hike due to safety. The path is already relatively uncultivated, and about halfway up it just turns into a muddy slip 'n slide. We hung on for that part of...More

The view is second to None, but the hiking trails are really steep and tough up and down. in mid August turists were asked to stay off the trails as some maintenance work was going on.

The hike itself is not very long and challenging compared to other hikes that have the same rating (Challenging e.g. Trolltunga or Bessegen). Dependent on the fitness level it takes between 4-6 hours to complete it. The only problem is that the municipality doesn't recommend...More

Not sure about completion... The first part, ~15 mins is through trees and branches (not quite a forest...) Followed by about ~15 mins of “stairs” - easiest part of the trail. The last bit ~45 mins (or can be longer... More
