This part of Ireland is rich with scenic attractions, but one of OUR definite favourites is the Aasleagh Falls waterfall. (While it's actually in County Mayo, the border with Galway is just down the road, so it's hardly surprising that both Counties may try to...More

Aasleagh Falls is located at the tail-end of Ireland’s only fjord, Killary Fjord. If you're coming from Doo Lough you’ll come to Aasleagh Falls on the left. Parking is on both sides of the street, just before the bridge. There are trails on both sides...More

Make sure you stop at the Aasleagh Falls just outside Leenane on Killary Fiord. It’s a great photo opportunity and shouldn’t be missed.

Stopped off here on route to Leenane, due to the torrential rain it wasn't the most picturesque. I'm sure in the summer it would be both easier to access as it was so muddy and the pathway would be more accessible.

Between Kylemore and Westport, on the lovley Wild Atlantic Way in central Connemara, the charming Aasleagh falls is located. Aasleagh falls is not a very big sight, even though it is beautiful, it is not spectacular or very exciting, but the nature around Aasleagh falls...More

Upon arrival I was thoroughly impressed by the ample parking facilities. Unfortunately however, I was not forewarned of the impending danger ahead of me. The waterfall was less of a spectacle but more of a life threatening fiasco which left me scarred emotionally and physically....More

The falls are a really pretty place to visit. You can also walk alongside them and get in quite close to the water. Plenty of good viewing points and a free car park at the top. No facilities here at all which is the only...More

We passed by here on our drive to Galway. It is a beautiful place to stop and take in the scenery. The falls while not particularly tall are stunning. Also on a good day you can find fishermen casting flies into the water.
