Great way to rest after walking miles on cobblestone streets. People watching at its finest and hopefully you'll be lucky to witness a wedding parade complete with full mariachis. Watching the sunset against the Cathedral makes a fantastic photo.

Don't miss going to the Zocalo on a Saturday evening. Such fun. Live music, food carts, many people enjoying themselves. It's a party atmosphere. It's safe and clean. The Church is the focal point.

Busy place during the day, quite the tourist gathering spot. But, fun to watch people, musicians, and sample tasty food (and ice cream), and don’t forget the fun street vendors, and nearby restaurants. Beautiful at night!

San Miguel has much more than the Zocalo....I feel it too much popular and COMMERCIAL...I prefer to walk away from the Zocalo in San Miguel....there are so many good places to discover....San Miguel is MUCH more than THE ZOCALO!!!!

The zocalo is really just the centre of what is a very pretty town. It's a beautiful plaza with a nice park in the centre. It is surrounded by wonderful colonial buildings and some nice cafes to sit in and people watch.

as are most zocalos in Mexico. There are too many Norte Americanos here for my personal taste but it still retains the colonial feeling with plenty of surrounding places to eat or shop as well as benches on which to sit and just watch the...More
