In a historically important locale this volunteer organization has put together a compelling and intriguing 2.5 hour tour. Our volunteer docent was as knowledgeable and responsive to dialogue as excellent, well-paid professional guides for Mexico City tours. All proceeds go to Patronato Pro Ninos to...More

First, thank you for your comments about the cause we support and how pleasant the tour is. We were saddened, however, to learn of the description of the indigenous people that you noted. You make a good point, the indigenous people - who make up...More

Natalie was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had stimulating discussions and a delightful walk in the precious town. Even without its UNESCO World Heritage Site designation San Miguel is so worth a visit and this tour should be taken on early in your stay.

Fun and informative. Saul was our guide and he was fun and knowledgeable. Gave quite the insight into SMA. They ask for a 300 peso donation that goes to a worthy charity , helping children. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Yes, the docents seem to be mostly North American retirees with second residences there. Cash only, and it provides dental services for rural poor kids in the region.
