I was across the narrow road having my motorbike worked on, and decide to blow twenty pesos on this to kill some time. It looks like a well-kept private residence going in. As you go around the house and start toward the walkway over the mangrove swamp, there's a healthy and wise monkey in a cage who gave me a long look, then proceeded to fellate himself for my viewing pleasure. The walkway over the trash strewn swamp was not quite rotten, but not sturdy either. At the end of the walkway, a couple of kids were making out on the table in the picnic area. They weren't quite as far along as the monkey, but I felt the need to warn them of my approach. If you make it that far, the boats to your left are anchored outside the local fishermen's cove--another place I've been that I won't go back to. In Bogo, it's best to stay on the eastern shore, where the Cebu Straights sweep away the trash. But the kicker to this visit came after my motorbike was fixed, and we were driving away. I had to pull off the narrow road because a brand new $60,000 SUV was coming at me--and it proceeded to turn into the driveway of Tugbungan Farm (Eco Park?) My girlfriend told me that was the owner of the place.

Tugbungan is worth a stop to say that you have been there. Watch the monkey in the cage going in. I'm certain he was going to try to pee on me. It is an elevated wooden walk way through the Mangroves out to Bogo Bay. Nice views. Bo early in the morning or in the evenings as it does get hot there. Also, it's not on a main road, so getting a tricycle back may require a bit of a hike.
