Just to bring you up to date...
The residence still maintains a prominent position one block away from Sydney Road, Balgowlah. It was originally the home of Sir Edmund Barton, Australia's first prime minister.
The former Norwegian Church is looking better than ever. It has now been subdivided and is now occupied and used as a residential home and is heritage listed. It's sporting a new paint job since the last photos were uploaded in 2013 and the plants around the perimeter of the fence have matured to include a hedge, magnolias and what looks to be a mass planting of dwarf lilly pilly's facing the roundabout.
If you're walking down to North Harbour Reserve and can spare a few minutes on the way, why not take a glimpse at the former home of Sir Edmund Barton's Victorian/Federation and Norwegian Church.

The property has been sold and will no longer host the Norwegian community events I'd attended and enjoyed with Norwegian friends. A pity, but the economics for the Norwegian Church back home dictated this apparently. The listing should be removed.
