Sydney Harbour walks

An excellent way to experience the harbour from all angles and get a feel for the watery heart of Sydney when we visit three very different locations.

Three walks covering the inner west, north and east of the harbour are on our agenda.

We will have a look at historic Balmain and Ballast Point on our first walk. Second walk covers the north side of the harbour and Sydney Harbour National Park. The final walk takes us to the Eastern Suburbs where we look across the harbour to Sydney's glistening city.

Walk time is flexible as is the itinerary. For other walk options please send an email or ring to discuss.

If you would like gentle walks we can soon change things around. Something more strenuous can also be accommodated.

There is a lot to see out there so lets get moving.

Just to bring you up to date... The residence still maintains a prominent position one block away from Sydney Road, Balgowlah. It was originally the home of Sir Edmund Barton, Australia's first prime minister. The former Norwegian Church is looking better than ever. It has now been subdivided and is now occupied and used as a residential home and is heritage listed. It's sporting a new paint job since the last photos were uploaded in 2013 and the plants around the perimeter of the fence have matured to include a hedge, magnolias and what looks to be a mass planting of dwarf lilly pilly's facing the roundabout. If you're walking down to North Harbour Reserve and can spare a few minutes on the way, why not take a glimpse at the former home of Sir Edmund Barton's Victorian/Federation and Norwegian Church.

The property has been sold and will no longer host the Norwegian community events I'd attended and enjoyed with Norwegian friends. A pity, but the economics for the Norwegian Church back home dictated this apparently. The listing should be removed.
