We were here in the morning. Safe for couples. If you are from a resort turn your wrist bands inside out so the guys won't say "Hey remember me. I'm your waiter at ___ resort. Come shop at my uncle's store" Check out prices first...More

Good to walk here both during the day and night! A lot of different restaurants, shops and stores. At night some streetartists entertain.

We enjoyed the day checking out the shops, restaurants, and ocean. Nice downtown area with lots of souvenirs, jewelry, and food. Be cautious of the high pressure sales personnel trying to get you into the stores!

It’s like being in downtown Toronto and New York and the beach ! Lots of entertainment and vendors and amazing cool restaurants. Places are pricy you really need to do your research. And you can bargain a lot! But it was really beautiful down there....More

Busy. Pushy sales people. Overpriced everything. Go for the people watching. Go to get hassled by salesmen yelling at you every 15 seconds. Go to see the same 6 stores, repeated 4 times each over 30 blocks. Go if you want to be the kids...More

I do not know. I drank margaritas at my all inclusive resort and do not smoke cigars anymore. I would do search on Google for "Best cigars 5th avenue playa del carmen" and see what happens? when in doubt, Google it!!! 😉

It was when we were there in November. It's a very touristy place so all the craft vendors will most certainly be there on a Sunday! They all want you to come to their little shop to buy things 'amigo almost free'... Ha, ha... More
