I had a great day boat trip to Isla de Mujeries today. But when we disembarked for lunch at the south end of the Island I was upset and saddened to see a lone brown shark in a tiny pen attached to the jetty ....More

Yes this beach is very pretty, apparently they have put some money into this property, I can only give it 3 stars based on our last trip. All that was there was a large building & a few bar/beach waiters/waitresses tiki beach shade & some...More

We went out for a snorkeling tour and had lunch near the shark pen. There were a couple of men in the pen with the shark holding it up for all too see. The shark looked really sad and unhealthy.

I can't get over the cruelty of the shark being held in the pen and being forced out of the water for selfies. Travel with compassion, use your dollars for good.

We enjoyed this activity and took pictures with the shark. (He was nice to us.) The grilled fish was delicious. We bought some shells souvenirs.

I am not a fan of caged wild life; but I do understand that hard working people have to pay the bills. So there has to be some sort of balance. The restaurant was quite good. My husband and I had the fish fillets that...More

Gorgeous beach. I wished we would have spent more time here after I found out how great it was. We went to the turtle farm near here which I also highly recommend. Simple and cheap. Loved the turtles.

Seeing the shark in the pen was sad. It was well fed and looked healthy, but not really our thing to do, so we didn't go in. Cheap like 2-3 bucks to go in. If you want a picture then 6 bucks. A few vendors...More

They are both offensive, but I wouldn't put them in the same league. I would rather have someone swear at my dog than beat it.
