The most wonderful thing about Playa Palancar is that it feels like a private beach. It is quieter than most beaches in Cozumel and presents both a great diversity of activities and a peaceful environment. Order a Margarita in one of the beach bars...more
We rented a jeep two different days and drove here - superb!! We rented umbrellas and chairs right on the water, ate and drank the best food and drinks - snorkeled very far out and saw all kinds of fish and lobster. It was FANTASTIC!
We have been visiting playa palancar for 10+ years and it is changing- we are sad. The beer is now $3.50 US each and the servers don't seem happy to be there. We had a large party of 9 and the servers were more worried...More
The cruise began in the Mobile Alabama cruise port. First time leaving from this port. Only one stop. Cozumel Mexico, which was fine but I promise myself to never cruise out of Mobile ever again. Been to Cozumel five other times. This time my daughter...More

Calendar was a nice beach area. If you are staying on the south end of the island you are very close to the location. If you are staying in town, you'll need a vehicle to get there. They have a bar, restaurant, beach chairs, etc. The area you walk in to is busiest and crowded. If you want quieter, walk to your right heading north to end of beach and you'll find palencar VIP area. As long as you buy drinks or food, beach chairs/umbrella and peacefulness is included. I have pics of it and other places in Cozumel on my profile, been there many times and love it.
