El Cedral has the opportunity to present an authentic Cozumel town with the highlight of the oldest ruins on the island. Unfortunately it seems like they built a toll booth to enter a town with remarkable (but small) ruin surrounded by peddlers of the same...More

This was for the past three years this was one of my families favorite places. Then Mexico politics and greed (government type) took a huge bite out of it. Forced to charge a fee at the gate this place is now nearly empty. The merchants...More

They charge a fee to enter, but don't tell you that nothing is open on a sunday. Waste of time and money.

We stopped by Cedral on a Sunday, so all the shops were closed. Our tour guide did provide a very informed history of the place and how it came to be. There was a charge of 35 pesos to enter.

Literally a tourist trap. Outrageously priced shops with same merch as anywhere else on the island. Little temple is nice enough to visit, as was the pleasant little church next to it. Felt relieved after driving away
