I decided to show my daughter some of the marketing in Mexico. Unfortunately, the marketing of 26 years ago, is gone with the times. The jewelry store “Fire Opalo Company” is literally the first store that you get sucked into shopping. It seems that they...More

This is a place to go. I would strongly recommend walking through the entire mercado before stopping to purchase/barter; many of the stalls sell similar items (purses, dresses, etc.). Yes, the vendors can be a bit pushy, but that's part of the experience. For the...More

Really nice market place that was much better than expected based on reviews I read. Vendors were friendly and nobody hassled us at all. Bought some nice gifts, negotiated a bit but prices were reasonable- and I’m a world class bargainer! Clean, inviting place with...More

Saying no gracias should be enough for them to let you continue your stroll through the market. They are so aggressive and annoying. We finally just left-as fast as we could!

Many vendors here. Found high quality men's sandals reasonably priced. Also bought some glass ware/pottery. Some shop keepers will negotiate price. More willing to negotiate when being offered cash rather than plastic.

Come here for the trinkets and t-shirts, but be ready to haggle. Number one piece of advice: USE PESOS. There are places to exchange there that are far better then the resorts. You will get a much better price in their currency vs. US dollars....More
