Beautiful building, centrally located right on the Zocalo. Cool restaurant with views on the roof. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Definitely recommend for any tourist wanting to see the heart of Mexico City.

We went to check out the beautiful Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico which is on one of the corners of the Zocalo . It was nice just to sit in the lobby and relax on the plush sofas and take some photos.

This is a beauitful hotel in a very busy part of town. Just popped in to see the tiffany ceiling and found the terrace cafe beautiful but overcrowded/overpriced. Take a look but spend time elsewhere

I did not stay at this hotel however a guide recommended that I step into the lobby and I was very pleased that I did. The stain glass ceiling is spectacular and lobby as well. It takes only a few minutes ....

This is a super unique building, that used to be a department store for high end things and now a hotel. Go inside, and look up !

It is likely the Xochimilco tour. Definitely worthwhile!
