It’s a quick (20-40) minute drop by, for 25 pesos, in an interesting building. Nothing overly “wow,” or memorable, but some out-of-the-ordinary artwork. Enjoyed a yesterday and today traveling exhibit. And, there was a somewhat disturbing, but interesting, traveling exhibit by an artist that is...More

This is a good museum to visit if you wish to see a variety of art that you could see at local churches and museums. Ability to read Spanish is helpful. Does not take long to visit.

Both years I visited this museum I enjoyed the exhibits. The building itself is architecturally interesting and the exhibits are well displayed and always interesting.

For 25 pesos, it's probably worth the 10-15 minutes you will spend inside. There is a collection of miniatures, as well as a lot of information and related to important people of Guanajuato's history. To appreciate the descriptions, you will need to be able to...More

Good museum if you are interested in modern art from the region. The building is attractive and there is a small baroque chapel.

This is a nice combination of an old church and a modern artist. You will see his works as well as religious and cultural paintings from 19 and 20 century. The 'chapel' has a good, big mural, seats, quiet. There is even free banos! But...More

We were thoroughly impressed by the diversity of artwork on display from 3 contemporary Mexican artists from Oaxaca. Well worth the time.

IIt is an art museum, where expositions of many painters from latin america are on display . Galleries cover hundreds of years of old local and latin portraits, to religious art. For any tourist it can be highly interesting.

Small museum but has some fantastic collections of art. Both the temporary and permanent exhibitions are worth seeing. It's easy to miss the location of this museum- as you're looking up at that big blue monastery/church from the alley-like street, it is the building to...More
