Highlight of my stay. Architecture, building, the whole site amazing. Plus wonderful (and huge) exhibitions. Discovered Angela Leible as one of my new favourite artists there. Nothing to complain, just go.

The masterworks of Guadalajara muralist José Clemente Orozco are mind-blowing. The architecture of the building itself is very impressive. Do yourself a favor and take an English-language tour. The guides are wonderful and will add a lot to your appreciation of the art and setting....More

Enough to see. Interesting building. Many artistic styles. Took at least an hour to see it all. Admission 70 pesos.

Not the best. There is a wonderful Orozco of hildago in the municipal building but I found these murals dull and pretentious. There is also some pretty awful contemporary art . Save your money don’t do it.

I was not prepared for all the different types of art. Paintings, tapestries, bronze. 17th century to the 21st century. And lots of signs, in Spanish and English, explaining the reasons and visions of the artists.

The Institute is a beautiful place to get a way from the hustle and bustle of Guadalajara. The institute is fortunate to have the Clemente Orozco murals, which are incredible, but they are incredibly somber...very important to see while in the city.

Several frescos from Jose Clemente Orozco. They have the life of Orozco in an interactive setting. Other Mexican artists display their work here.

Wonderful architecture, and artwork by Orosco, but the long halls had a lot of empty spaces. It is worth the visit just for the entryway, but bring comfortable shoes for the long halls that wind around everywhere.

Perhaps someone on the Guadalajara travel forum can help - I was just there (late afternoon) but don't recall the hours.
