Have visited Cuernavaca twice and this Museo continues to be closed. All due to the sept. 19th earthquake. The outside is pretty interesting... its history, the monoliths.. the statutes.. Maybe next visit..

We did not get to visit here as the Museum was closed due to the earthquake there was no indication as to when it would reopen so the number of stars that we've given this is totally irrelevant

Nice museum. It is very old, but very well kept. A lot of history. The paintings are great.Located in the Zocalo.

Okay Mexican History museum. Nothing you won't see in the ones in Mexico City. I would pass if I was asked to do it again. It's the same building as the Palace of Cortez.

Take your time and visit this amazing museum. It's not big, it's not the best, but believe me, it's an oportunity to jump into Mexican History in many ways: the native cultures, the Colony and Cortés and the artists of the muralism. And like a...More

My husband and I visited this museum just to see the Diego Rivera mural. It didn't disappoint! Well worth the 55 pesos/each we paid to get in the door. The museum itself is well maintained, and had more of the signage been in English (most...More

The museum is in what was the home of Hernán Cortés in the early 1500's. There is an archeological section, history of the state of Morelos and the icing on the cake is the mural upstairs painted by Diego Rivera in 1929. The US Ambassador...More

Very interesting museum at the former Palacio of Hernán Cortés. It is not so big so you can make it in 1 or 2 hours. You can see the different uses this building had through history and also learn about this región history.
