Museum website is up, but the facility is closed. Was told that although there is a sign noting “closed for renovations” dated 2015, that the museum is permanently closed.

Visit to here shows old time Mexican art and antiques. Some are available for purchase as well as having some great food in area.

Staff is friendly accomodating and willing to explain the exhibits. You only need a few minutes to walk through unless you want to study artifacts.

If Naval history interests you -this is a very good display. There is English translation upon request. The museum is by donation.

People do not come to Puerto Vallarta for culture. They come for the sun and the sea and the fun and the food. This tiny museum, consisting mainly of pottery, will be ignored by most of them, and they aren't missing that much.
