What a beautiful place!! My friend and I had plans that morning to go whale watching, but our trip was canceled and we were pretty bummed about it. Her Mom suggested to check out the Observatory and I'm so glad we did! My favorite part was the Aviary and feeding the birds! The whole experience was just AMAZING!! If you're a photographer, pack an extra battery or two, you won't be able to put your camera down! Highly recommend! Thank you for providing me and my friend a truly memorable experience!

A top notch tour

We were picked up at our hotel and enjoyed a number of spots in Mazatlan.
The highlight of the tour was a visit to an observatory that has been here since the 1800’s. It’s been refurbished and includes a bird sanctuary, beautiful gardens, iguana enclosure, a few huge turtles, koi fish etc.. it also has a wonderful bar where you can sit and enjoy the view.
We stopped at the public market downtown, a beautiful cathedral, several beautiful neighbourhoods, statues and other popular stops.
Our hostess was Naomi and she was very knowledgeable.

We Saw Whales!
After heading out from shore quite a ways and turning north, the captain made a ferociously fun U-turn because he had spied whale activity on that horizon.

We watched two adults and one calf as they 'played' but really the adults were teaching the little one how to survive, for example how to shake barnacles off its tail one day - this we learned from the guide Naomi who was wonderful.

We were concerned that we wouldn't see whales so late in the season, but this team really delivered a great experience for us!

Rough season and uncomfortable seating
Bit of a rough sea on the day of our trip. Red flags not allowing boats to leave marina when we were returning. Just saw one Whale from quite a distance inspite of efforts to get closer. The bicycle type straddle seats were very uncomfortable. Have done numerous boat trips before but these seats were very different.

You get your moneys worth… the boat is comfortable, the guide is very nice. Whales are around. Even if we didn’t see any it would have been a nice time….

We had a wonderful morning!

The sea was as calm as glass, the 40 minute ride out to the whale activity area was smooth, we did not get wet at all. We repeatedly saw a male and a female swimming and by the end of our time, a pod of four whales came up right next to the boat! It was awesome! We were picked up right on time, outside my complex, and the whole operation was smooth and efficient.

Great experience
Very happy with the overall experience. Crew is knowledgeable about the whales. Felt safe in the boat. Our group got very lucky that we saw a mommy and baby whale within 15 minutes of going out at sea. Would recommend to anyone.
Don’t forget to apply sunblock

Unfortunately, too much wind the first day so they had to return us to the marina and we were booked for another day when the wind was not a problem. We all appreciated their attention to safety! We saw many whales on the second day and definitely hope to return for another tour when we return to Mazatlan. The excitement of the children on our tour made it even more fun. Highly recommend!
