What we loved about this place, in addition to the spectacular view, when we went here as the sun was setting, is that it was populated tranquilly by locals, with few loud and obnoxious Americans on hand to ruin it. We loved that the locals...More

Too rough for snorkeling but a nice little beach for a change of pace. The beach bars are all pretty good but if you are not staying with one of the hotels there you will need to buy a day pass. Not a big deal...More

The beach is incredible. Best sand. Not good for swimming but beautiful to sit on. There is a restaurant you can go to for food and drinks. A must see.

We spent many days swimming and snorkeling here. The waves can be a challenge, however, for some, but was a great experience for us.

This beach is lovely to look at, but not very swimmable. It usually has a red flag. Quite an undertow. We swam there once. I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a swimming beach.

As previous reviews note, Playa Chahue is a beautiful beach. It is very clean (as designated by its blue flag award for cleanliness) and is sparsely populated. The reason for the lack of beach goers most likely has to do with the red flag that...More

We enjoyed our visit to this beach on a very hot day. Usually a red flag beach but that means a cooling breeze. Half the beach is open to public and the other half is reserved for beach clubs or all inclusive guests. When you...More

There are some days where there is a strong tide and if you are not a strong swimmer you should be careful. We came here daily and the first two days were true red flag days, while the last 5 were much calmer and definately...More

Beautiful beach, very clean, but you really can’t swim in the water. There were some people, even young kids, frolicking near the shore, but abolutely no snorkelling. Go for a look see, but we ended up walking to Santa Cruz beach.

There is indeed a beach club right in front of Bahía Chahue. However, the water there is very rough. I brought a group of 15 high school students there on Tuesday, and the Lifeguard had to get us all out because the waves... More
