Lotsa gaudy looking tourist junk to look through. Friendly and helpful vendors. Stay in the zone for all your Tijuana experience.

I spent 3 hours in a long and needless line because US customs and border patrol are nasty, vindictive, and deserving of being canceled. There was no reason for this ordeal. Once we finally arrived at the kiosks, we witnessed the macho culture of these guys, acting out their authority, violent body language and hanging out leisurely as they ignored long lines of people seeking to cross the border entirely legally. CBP should be dissolved. What bastards....

I took the San Diego Trolly from downtown to the last stop at the border, then walked across to Mexico. I of course then walked back across to the US. Entire process was easy and pretty quick compared to all those cars waiting in the lines to cross either way.

Once I crossed, I walked around the downtown Tijuana area easily. I thought everything was very inexpensive then even more with the generous US to Pesos exchange rate.

Still be careful and always aware of your surroundings. Stick to the tourist areas.

It’s been about 15 years since I’ve come to Revolution. Wow, has it changed! I did not even recognize it. It’s so cleaned up with lots of cute little places to eat or grab a drink. We stopped at several shops selling shirts, souvenirs, etc. Most places still require a mask inside. We stayed a couple hours but I feel like you could spend an entire day here. Live music sifted through the street as we walked through. I would definitely come back.

The place is very nice loved the Arc! A lot of people walking around just stay on Avenida Revolución one block over and is totally different scene. I felt save the whole time just have to be mindful of your surroundings at all time. I took public transportation from the hotel to el centro. But if Don't speak Spanish use Uber instead. Try to get pesos for use instead of dollars.

Watch your wallet/purse, no dangling jewelry, buy nothing on the sidewalk...NOTHING, and NEVER take the first offer. You need to haggle down the price. These people will cheat you. Watch for knock offs and fakes. They are pushy and in your face. They will offer free tequila to help them gain an advantage. They like to offer you a lot of items and do "bulk" sales. Know how much you want to pay and offer half, when they hit your price buy, otherwise walk away(sometimes this will make them offer what you want). These are high presser sellers.

Strolling on Avenida Revolucion is an experience every traveler to Tijuana needs to enjoy. It is amazing the variety of people and places, from world class restaurants to shops; from cafes to casinos; and yes, don't miss the zebra donkeys which will let you snap a pic for a mere $5.00! There are also a number of medical and dental clinics offering routine procedures at a fraction of the American price. And for your pharmaceuticals, there are tons of pharmacys offering over-the-counter and prescription meds and doctor's exams if you are not feeling up to snuff.
Revolucion is pure fun! Start at Plaza Santa Cecilia where you will find shops and vendors of everything from clothes to silver; to knick-knacks and souvenirs. You will also find restaurants offering authentic Mexican fare and very reasonable prices. From the Plaza travel south and pass the zebra donkeys. After snapping the picture, do some window shopping. There are souvenir shops, leather goods stores, boutiques, bars, cafes, and tons of jewelry stores. Be sure to check out Emporium. It is well known to give the best bargains in quality silver jewelry and other unique items. We saw a beautiful, hand painted, hand carved wooden peacock among their art objects there. I should have grabbed it, but it would have been a lot to carry around town! Your stroll will take you by Caliente Casino, a small, fun gambling house that, while it doesn't rival Caesar's Palace, it does offer a very diverting gaming experience. After losing some money, you can walk a few doors more to Caesar's Restaurant and drown your bad fortune in any one of their signature cocktails and then taste some pretty fantastic food prepared in the old school style. Avenida Revolucion is where it's at in Tijuana, so enjoy your stroll.

of US healthcare system...the tourist shops werewas worth walking around to see the amazing # of dentists, MD's, and pharmacies that hawk their services at unbelievable prices compared to US and helps remind us of the greed the tourist shops were just as expeccted...mostly junk and overpriced even when bartering...
