The Sun is a Melbourne institution in a charming village surrounded by bars and eateries. The cinema always has a good range of films from arthouse to blockbuster. It’s beautifully maintained, some of the cinemas new extensions. Always a lovely afternoon or evening out.

The atmosphere of this place will bring you back to the 80s and the seats are so comfortable. The movie ticket are always cheap compare to village cinemas and Hoyts cinema.

Loved the decor and the couples couches...where can you go to the movies for $20 and have a great seat like that? Watching the shorts for the upcoming movies made me want to come back to experience the movie again and again...

So nice to have such a retro movie cinema without the commercialism. So many food options around the corner. A cinema for every movie, occasion. Best home made choc tops ever 👍

I love this place. It's the best cinema experience at normal cinema prices. Art deco designs in each theatre and embodies the spirit of community. It's luxurious and you can take in some great local wines from the lobby. Just wish they would make their...More
