It was the way to get in and out from our beach resort and I should say we haven't seen the monkeys on the path, maybe because we walked late at night or too early in the mornings. Easy to climb, but you should wear...More

These little buggers are hard to find. We did see them on our last day however. The trail is steep and slippery, took my breath away and got the leg muscles burning. If you are unstable on your legs please don't do this trail as...More

If you face the ocean walk all the way you can to your left. Eventually there is a small bridge over a creek and then the wooden steps going up. Quite steep but there is always a handrail. About 8 flights of stairs means you...More

We stayed at the lovely Centara private resort and walked the monkey trail to Ao Nang beach daily....as much for the sites as a nice cardio. There are days with no monkeys, so don’t be disappointed! As well, be careful especially if it rains. This...More

After reading some reviews of the Monkey Trail before my trip, I was very intimidated. However, in real life, the Monkey Trail was SO EASY and convenient! My husband and I took this trail to and from Ao Nang for 3 nights during our vacation....More

The wooden stairs pass through a wooded cliff overlooking Ao Nang beach. They were beautiful views and the hike itself was fun. We saw five monkeys, both adults and babies. Expect to spend 30 minutes there. Douse yourself in bug spray before going!

We took the monkey trail from our hotel to Ao nang on several occasions. Daytime was very hot and humid but you get stunning views at the top of the beaches and sea and we were lucky to see families of monkeys in the trees...More

This trail DEFINITELY has monkeys. The first time we went we didn’t see a single monkey in a tree, on the steps, in the trees, anywhere... But on the way back to Ao Nang beach at around 4pm, it was like a huge monkey migration....More

We walked up the monkey trail and didn't see any monkeys, we did see a big squirrel though. At the other side of the trail is a beautiful beach and we enjoyed the walk and the time spent at the beach.

We used the Monkey trail everyday . I must admit the initial steep climb especially in the mornings had me sweating , I am not in the first flush of youth , it then levels out and the Ao Nang side is less steep ....More

The monkeys are still there! We saw staff members chasing them with slingshots several times. One morning at the breakfast buffet we saw a monkey sneak close to a table and grab someone's roll, the scamper up on the roof to... More
