Good for a quiet and cool walk after seeing the nearby Penglipuran village. Very thick growth almost blocking out the sun.

Be careful if you come here by driving a motorbike, the pathway is really challenging especially when you are passing by the bamboo forest.. the road was quite dark!

Located just behind/next to Penglipuran Traditional Village, this bamboo forest is a large area filled with huge bamboo trees. We can walk around because it already has asphalt roads. The tall bamboo trees shield us from direct sunlight so the whole place is shady and...More

Enjoyed the walk through the state-preserved traditional housing complexes; although honestly would have much preferred to learn more about the peoples and traditions rather than being bombarded with persuasive attempts at selling souvenirs every time you step into one of those houses. Alas, this is...More

The bamboo forest is owned by the village and I think if you speak to the village head, they will allow you to buy some seeds. Just go to the village and speak with the village head. Cheers!
