Getting up close with the whale sharks was amazing, like nothing you would get anywhere else in the world! The falls were just spectacular!!!
We had a great experience with Joefdoble as our driver/guide! Great guy and he made sure we had a great time and gave us great local recommendations!

Cannot recommend this company enough! Our driver June arrived bang on on time even though it was 3am and was very patient with us throughout the whole day. From the very beginning we were looked after a with genuine care. Everything was ready for us at each stop and they even allowed us to made slight changes to the itinerary because we were tired. Mike who took us into the waterfall area had incredible photo taking skills and i finished the day with over thousand great pictures. Probably the best tour I have ever taken in my entire life, massively recommended!

My partner and I booked a private tour of sardine run and Kawasan falls canyoneering. The sardine run was really cool and we got up close and personal with a turtle during our snorkel. We unfortunately had an incident after where I needed to visit to the hospital (this has nothing to do with highland adventure, this was all on us) and our driver was super accommodating, driving as quickly as possible to the ER. After our brief excursion to the hospital, we still had time to go canyoneering and our canyoneering guide was so patient with us. My partner started having knee issues halfway through (this hike is NOT easy on the joints, so beware), and he took it slow and altered routes to ensure to minimize my partner’s knee pain. Besides my our old bodies deteriorating, the canyoneering portion was amazing. The sites were gorgeous and I’ve never experienced a hike like it. I very much appreciate how accommodating our driver and canyoneering guide were, they were key to why we had an amazing experience.

Highland Adventure Tours facilitated one of the best days of our three-week trip. Michael (owner), George (guide) and Ronald (driver) were the best of the best and we were sad to not have booked more with them. It was so easy and quick to work directly with Michael - we messaged via WhatsApp and within a couple of hours had details communicated and the tour booked. We even changed the tour the day before due to a long/rougher than expected travel day and they were super flexible and easy about the change .
We booked a private whale shark and canyoneering tour and spent from 4am - 6pm with these folks. The whale sharks were majestic and this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We read plenty of reviews before and knew to expect large crowds and long lines. It was smoother and faster than expected and Ronald was with us every step of the way. It was such a perk to have a trusted companion/car to leave our personal belongings with.
Canyoneering was by far the best adventure tour we have ever done. The number of “wows” and “this is the best day ever” was in the dozens. George was clearly a professional and knew his stuff. It was our first time doing anything like this. He guided us through every jump with confidence and knowledge of the situation and where any challenges or safety hazards may be. He patiently captured us on our GoPro as we went. He picked up every piece of garbage along our trail. He was friends with just about every person we met along the way. He was one of the only guides showing how to maneuver each level and gave us such personalized attention the entire 4 hours. There’s a stop halfway to get barbecue skewers (bring pesos!!) so we stopped to eat and George spent the break helping other adventurers jump the biggest/most challenging cliff jump of the trail, whose guides were much more hands-off. At the next stop, he bought us each a Puto (Rice cake) to snack on (no promises he’ll do this again, but so sweet he did it for us) We told him we loved him and we meant it!!!
There are a lot of vendors you can book to guide you through the falls but please trust me when I say that witnessing how they worked with each customer, NONE of them compared to Highland Adventure and George. When/if you go to Pangsama beach you will see a lot of people selling tours, some of which may even appear cheaper initially, but 1) you get what you pay for and 2) ultimately after every up-charge and additional hidden fee, the tours ended up costing close to the same. Also, a lot of those vendors don’t guide them yourself but outsource you to another company. Once they’ve taken your money, they can no longer guarantee the experience since it’s “out of their hands” Book directly with Michael at Highland Adventure tour and you won’t regret it!
Oh, and if it couldn’t get any better, lunch after was *delicious* and we so appreciated Michael’s kind offer to share some drinks with us at the end. Michael, George and Roland - you’ve left a big impression on us. We can’t wait to come back and bring all our friends next time. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Excellent experience with Highland Adventure Tours. Was a bit skeptical at first because there wasn't many reviews, but decided to give the company a try. We booked a package for Osmeña Peak + Badian Canyoneering Adventure to Kawasan Falls + Snorkeling with the Sardine Run, and Sea Turtles.
We were picked up by a Toyota Vios around 4am at our hotel and reached Osmena around sunrise. Thereafter, we went on to Badian to begin the canyoneering adventure. We chose to walk to the starting point instead of taking the zipling and the walk was only around 15min (depending on your walking speed) instead of the claimed 45min, much better than taking the zipline. Our canyoneering guide, Sunny, was fun, patient and enthusiastic, offering to film/photo us for the whole journey and also gave us time to repeat a few jumps. After all the water fun, we reached Kawasan Falls. The equipment provided was relatively good and the shoes were not slippery. After Kawasan Falls, we went back to their site for lunch which was generous and good.
After the fun canyoneering experience, we continued on to Moalboal for snorkelling with sardine run and sea turtle. There was only 1 sea turtle and it was a bit of a pity that the turtle was surrounded by a bunch of people. Our guide initially told us that we are unlikely to see the sardine run as big fish were around, but he did not give up and continued to search for us. We finally managed to see the sardine run when we were swimming back to where we started. Our guide was helpful and film/photo us with the sardine run.
Overall, the experience was good and the guides were knowledgeable. Recommend to book your tour package with Highland Adventure Tours!

What a wonderful day and epic canyoneering experience!
Our family of 4 had Ruben as our guide who was great!! Not only an experienced guide who spoke great English (and was super patient with me- Mum!), but also a great photographer (as you can clearly see!).
Our day started at 0900- being picked up from our accommodation in their minivan. We were then taken to their site where we were fitted out with helmets and life jackets. Very safety conscious.
Back into the van to the start of the adventure.
We chose to do the 1km, 1min zip line, rather than the 45min walk! An interesting ride up to the zip line on back of a scooter along a narrow path- quite exhilarating! A great start to the trip. Husband close to do ‘Superman’ position (ie on his stomach), and the rest of us did ‘sitting’ position.
Then we walked down a fair few steep steps to reach the starting point.
Canyoneering encompassed 5 jumps- a mandatory first ‘1m’ jump, followed by others as we progressed through the canyon.
For those nervous about the higher jumps (9m and 10m), there is a trail alongside, that you can walk down.
We also did swimming, ‘water slides’, swing and release into water, and climbing/walking though water/boulders.
There were 2 short stops, and the first had vendors selling freshly cooked kebabs (delicious!!).
The adventure finishes at level 2 of Kawasan Falls- where you can go behind the falls if you choose. Amazing scenery!
A 15 min walk to the pick up point- and then back to their site for a yum lunch of chicken, rice, noodles/veges and drink.
A wonderful day- memorable experience!
We wore togs, swim shorts and either a rash top or t-shirt (as well as the mandatory life jacket).
We chose sneakers to wear, but others wore reef/swim shoes. Take a dry bag for your stuff/phone.
Would happily recommend this company!

Did the Kawasan Falls canyoning tour with a family of 5 (age 16 to 46). Absolute highlight of our holiday.
Zipline experience at start isn't included-500PHP extra but the ride is recommended (&shortens the walk in from 40min to 10min).
Kawasan is VERY popular. Expect a constant flow of tour groups down the gorge. HAT staff recommended earliest possible start (from 6am) and weekday tour due to crowds.
Wear runners for traction.
Highest canyon jump is 2nd stage of Kawasan Falls at 14m. All jumps but the smallest 1-2m have a ”walk down” option if you're unsure.
Note that the falls are easy to visit as a self-driving option, but the lowest/3rd stage of the falls are very commercialized and busy. I VERY much recommend the guided tour.

Pros:
1. Tours are flexible and can be personalized to your preferences
2. They are very patient with inquiries
3. Our tour guide (sir George) was very funny, made sure that we made the best out of every destination and he did not rush our tour
4. Boat skippers take great underwater photos (tip them before you disembark, you are highly unlikely to meet the same skippers again)
5. Drivers are punctual and skillful (Brace yourselves, Cebuano drivers tend to drive at break neck speed)
6. Clean comfortable vehicles
7. Nice home base with very clean rest rooms
8. Reasonable tour prices
Would definitely book again!

I'm not sure how others could have rated Highland Adventures anything other than excellent. Perhaps others unfortunately had negative experiences but we had such an amazing time.
The only slightly negative aspect was the booking especially from outside of the Philippines. Generally, they responded quickly to all our queries but it wasn't the easiest process sending a deposit and getting confirmation. However, except for this relatively minor issue, everything was superb.
We opted for the one day package including Osmena Peak and then Canyoneering. Our transfer was on time at 3am for the pleasant (albeit long) drive from Cebu City. The driver was professional and polite and the van was very spacious, more than adequate for 4 of us.
Osmena Peak was beautiful at dawn, although I regretted not wearing better shoes. I wasn't aware (not advised but I should have guessed) that this requires a decent hike to the peak so I advise wearing good shoes and try to minimize what you carry. The views from the top are amazing and well worth the short hike.
The main event of course was the canyoneering and it was everything we'd hoped and more. Our guide, Kuya Noli was wonderful. He made us laugh the entire day while making sure we were safe of course. I was happy that he carried my phone the whole time because he took some superb photos and videos of our jumps!
This is truly an amazing activity and one of the best our group has done in a long time and highly recommended. The canyoneering is awesome and finished off with a decent and well earned lunch after the final jump.
The Highland Adventures base has everything you need and has clean showers and a good base to start and finish. They provide all necessary equipment but I recommend bringing your own aqua shoes and towels.
There are indeed plenty of tour operators offering similar services but I highly recommend the Highland Adventures team who made our visit truly memorable!

We took part in this tour in May. We were only in Cebu for two days so had limited time but they managed to pull everything together perfectly! we did the 2D1N Cebu Canyoneering + Whale Shark + Osmena Peak Tour - which included pretty much all the activities we wanted to do . They picked us up from the airport and we went to do canyoneering straight after a 7 hours flight !! it was an amazing experience and we always talk about it with everyone when we talk about the Philippines. I checked everywhere on the internet before booking and this one is definitely the best value for money ! thank you so much to the boys who looked after us
