We did this hike on a pleasant day in August with no rain in the prior day and a half. We went up trail 10 and down trail six as had been recommended, and found the combination perfect. Trail 10 was easy to find with...More

Trail 10 starts from 1/2 km from Tanah Rata town and takes you through thick rain-forest forest to the top of the mountain. It's steep in places and takes you through the jungle. Took us 2 hours+ to get to the top (casual trekkers). The...More

The way was easy (my opinon) some trees and some flowers thats it. Maybe it is hard to like this, if you travel in SEA a lil bit around. But still a nice trekking path, someone dont really do in nature. Do a picknik on...More

My husband and I did this trail on a cloudy day, but the sun was just coming through so we thought we'll give it a try. It has been raining during the night and in the morning so it was wet/slippery and since it's quite...More

We hiked trail 10 during our stay in Tanah Rata, it was one of the more enjoyable activities we did during our time there. Well worth doing for the great views that you get once you reach the top. Took us about 45mins to ascend...More

This is a nice, easy to follow trail through the jungle to a decent viewpoint. It’s a steep climb, you should have a reasonable level of fitness to tackle it but most leisure hikers can do this trip. It took me about 2.5 hours round...More

The forest is beautiful with lots of shrubs and plants. I do not recommend bringing children (aged 7 and below) on this trek as it might be a bit difficult. I was travelling alone but did this hike with a group of solo travellers. We...More

We had a wonderful morning trekking in trail no 10. Contrary to what the others said we found the trail reasonably well marked and had no trouble finding it. Even at places where we were unsure , some kind hearted trekkers and locals had put...More

We thought this would be a difficult climb but it was just right. Enough challenge to feel a sense of achievement. I agree with person who recommend the maps.me app. It was a big help. Beautiful scenery. Only ugly at the end by power station.

Hi, Ana, You DO NOT need a guide to hike along this trail. It is very clear and well-trodden. Just follow the main trail and do not proceed after you have reached the peak of Mt Jasar. Please refer to my review. Chai.
