Had a quick walk round tourist attraction, well set out with plenty of information boards, the lime kiln was exceptionally well preserved.

Learn about the history of the area combined with lovely walks along the canal and good local eateries. Great place for a picnic if the weather is good.

Interesting lime kilns Hoffman and earlier. The wharfs leading to the canal and the inclined rail lines leading down from the quarries and kilns are discernible. Also it makes a great area for a dog walk as well.

This is an excellent walk any time of the year. The amount of work that has gone into telling visitors about the work which used to go on at this site is incredible.
