I've travelled on ferries on two continents and a dozen cities and I've never experienced the level of service we had with CALMAC. The ships are in good shape. Loading and unloading of vehicles is very efficient. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors...More

Went over on the ferry to Arran for the day. Had a lovely breakfast on board the ferry. Very tasty. Nice trip over. Saw plenty of seabirds such as Oyster Catchers and Gannets dive bombing into the sea. Would highly recommend.

Into ships - what could be better than a small voyage on great ships, Good food good drinks and dead cheap fares. Lovely to just sit on ships and watch the world go by. Very friendly.

Ardrossan terminal is a little dated, however clean and staff were helpful and friendly. The day we travelled the weather was excellent and views stunning. A slick service where safety was very important. Great trip to a magical island.

Travel to Arran often for golf and walking and cycling. Great restaurant in Lochranza, the Pavilion, Booking essential. Scotland in miniature, try Shiskine for golf true links. Linda will help you at the terminal.

Senniors pay the same price as adults- £7.50 return. Children are £3.80 return. It's a month return so can be used for holiday trips to the island too
