Well worth the short detour from the Calais Wimereux road to go to this iconic headland where both Napoleon and Hitler are said to have gazed across the channel to England dreaming of forthcoming conquest and indeed on a nice day it does look ridiculously...More

Free parking and short walk to the memorial monument. The parking lot on the summit can be a little crowded on summer days, but we had no problems getting a free parking spot during several visits in July. On your way up to the monument...More

a definate must stop to see. beautiful view, a chance for a hike if you want and history lesson all rolled into one. The closest point to England you get a great view of the White Cliffs of Dover here.

Beautiful views of the English Channel and coast weather permitting. Car parking easily accessible, with plenty spaces and free. Pathway to the cap well posted and wheelchair/buggy friendly. Well worth visiting even if the weather is poor.

I say potential, as our day got cut short by a rather nasty accident that parents may want to know about. We'd had a fascinating time at the museum and were heading down to the coast line. Our ten year old boy was running down...More

Cap Gris-Nez is a great place to visit for walking/hiking and seeing the beautiful view of the coast. There is a large map that tells you about the trails and the path is well-built. It is a very short distance to the look-out right on...More

Gorgeous place to have long walks and enjoy the beauty of nature. When weather permits you'll have a very clear view of the English coastline with it's white cliffs. Near the lighthouse you'll find a viewing platform with lots of information about the history of...More

The wind might be though to handle, but the silence and view on beautiful clear wather days more than make up for it. You can see England from here and understand that during the Battle of Britain both sides were basically in constant contact with...More

Went there with around 50 colleagues and had a wonderful time hiking and biking. Beautifil climbs and walks, splendid view and an ocean to remember.

We first went to cap blanc nez, the site has a white stone-beach and white cliffs. Afterwards we went to cap gris nez which is a big difference. There are 3 look-out points, but you can not really go on a beach as there is...More

We went late afternoon in beautiful clear sky's and no wind. Fortunately we could see across to England and watch the shipping in the channel. If you are in the area you must go!

Definitly worth a detour - if the weather is clear you can almost see people walking on the cliffs in England. The cliffs are magnificent and harbor fantastic nature, combined with old remnants from WWII. Well worth to spend at least a lengthy afternoon.

I think the place you are asking about is no longer in business. But. La Serene just down from the Cap, beside the sea is excellent. I recommend you make a reservation as it is always busy. Read my review for more... More
