The oldest church in The Bahamas, part of the Anglican church. Visited by the Royal Family every time they come to The Bahamas.

Lovely place of worship discovered on our walking tour. Step in to see the stain glass and architecture of its time.

This is a quick photo opportunity. Not a must see, but in walking distant from cruise lines and downtown.

The small cloister by the Cathedral is worth a quiet moment. It is worth spending silent time there.

Pop in and look around, especially if the sun is shining so that you can see the stained glass windows. Always interesting to see these types of churches.

classic anglican architecture, nice quiet place to rest and contemplate, enjoy the organ music and examine the stain glass windows.

We were supposed to meet a food tour on the church’s landing. We got there early and went inside the chapel. Beautiful stained glass windows. Fascinating memorials attached to the walls that celebrated the life of lost loved ones. One that got my attention was a young adult son who went off to sea on a ship that never returned. They assumed the ship was lost at sea and all aboard perished. The plaque lamented the loss of someone so young.

I actually attended a service there and from the moment you arrive you feel welcomed and in a peaceful place. It is a traditional Anglican church with great Architecture having been built in 1841 and maintaining much of it's original beauty and style. It is located in the center of the downtown area of Nassau which makes it within walking distance of the Hilton Hotel and the bay Street area in general.
