This was recommended by our taxi driver from the airport. Nice walk from downtown along the water. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Nice atmosphere. Lots of locals, not just cruise tourists. Most of the menus offer the same choices, so we had drinks and appetizers one place and dinner at another. Worth the visit!

This so hyped up on line that we felt we HAD to go. Very underwhelmed. Prices were the same as local restaurants and the food was exactly the same. We went to Goldie's which is pretty famous but waited an hour for food...yes I realize there are signs saying it is slow service there were so many other things I could have done with my time than sit in a restaurant. Food was decent but not exceptional. The rest of Arawak Cay was sketchy. Also catching the jitney from here was a longer wait than usual and you are also standing in a high risk area. Not my favourite.

Nice stop for daytime if you want local food and drinks. It is kinda a group of shacks on the beach. The bartenders are friendly and will make you special island drinks. We had the ribs, coleslaw and macncheese. Food was high quality but with a more casual bbq type flare.

Arawak is an interesting area but we did not find it particularly enjoyable and no way would we go there after dark. It is just a bunch of shacks selling food and the like.

We went during lunch time on a Wednesday and very few places were open. May be more lively on weekends or when a cruise ship is docked. Not much to do beyond this 2 -3 block stretch of restaurants and a few souvenir stalls. But there are places to park, a public restroom building centrally located across the street (none in restaurants), and driveable to downtown and beaches.

The restaurant we went to gave large portions! Know that you may be able to share a dish between 2 people for most dishes priced over $20 per plate.

This is a very cool place that the locals call "Fish Fry" because it is a little island that has lots of food shacks all in a row that specialize in, what else?, fried fish. You drive over the bridge, turn right, and park across the street. We went to O Andros, which seems to have the best T-A review, and it was great. Totally informal, as cheap as you will find, beer and soda, etc. I had the cracked conch. Delicious.

A row of small shack restaurants worth checking out, wide variety of good food. A few small vendors hawking touristy trinkets.

This place was a great hang out. Some of the restaurants are named after islands of the Bahamas and have menus with dishes that are unique to those islands. You could walk there from the ship but it is at least 30 minutes each way however some of the walk is ocean front but you have to pass a really busy section of the beach that is more of a tourist trap. This is ok if that is your thing. I suggest catching a local bus to Arawak Cay or a taxi and then walking back to work of the food while stopping at little bars on the way back. This is not recommended if you have a kids as they might not enjoy walking so much and the sun can be relentless at anytime of day.

Amazing! I went to Goldie’s and Mr King’s Sky Juice. I wanted to return a few more times, but didn’t make it. Great vibe, food and people. Don’t miss out!
