Stunning beach, calm water, and teeming with turtles. My wife and I made several visits to Maho during our time on St. John, and found it to be super relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful water and powder-white sand. Still some obvious (and understandable) damage to the...More

We went to all the beaches during our visit, and none of them were bad but it definitely wasn't our favorite. It's right next to the road which is convenient and every view is incredible but it didn't have great snorkeling, and because it's on...More

Just got back from Maho beach! I can't say many bad things about this place. I didn't see a restroom of any kind and there isn't much shade but that said, this place was awesome! The turtles could care less about our presence which made...More

My family saw multiple turtles and had a great time snorkeling at Maho. Definitely recommend spending a part of your day in St. John there.

By far the best beach on St. John to view the Sea Turtles. Other snorkeling is excellent. Ample parking with two different areas. If you are facing the ocean, the left side is rockier. Since the hurricane, there is less natural shade so bring sunscreen...More

Husband saw some hugh turtles in the ocean while snorkeling. Nice water and sandy. Most of the beaches beautiful lush greenery has been destroyed due to the hurricanes last year but still a great place to go for the day. Think the bathrooms are still...More

gin clear waters.Just standing on shore you can see turtle heads popping up everywhere. I follwed a three finned turtle minding his own business munching away on grass totally oblivious to my presence

Maho beach doesn't have a wide stretch of sand and the water is so calm. There is definitely a lack of shade but nothing that an umbrella or beach tent won't solve. But the main reaon to visit is to snorkel with the turtles.

We came here knowing that this bay was known as a place to see LOTS of turtles. What we didn't expect was the shear number of turtles and how not concerned the turtles seem to be with the humans that are watching them eat. We...More

We spent a beautiful day at Maho recently; still great snorkeling and plenty of turtles. If you can, bring something for shade.

Most cruises are docked in St Thomas - you would take a ferry to St John and a taxi ride (great views of island on way) to Maho. Be sure to find out from your cruise director how much time you have as well as the ferry and... More
