Nice but maybe not best for souvenirs
Great view, decent space. Did not feel. Rowed (maybe we just hit a good time). Got non alcohol banana daiquiri, essentially squished banana. Good if you like bananas. Shop only carries s to xl in othes. A little disappointing since their shirts run small and keys guess a lot of visitors at larger than a "small" xl. Definitely worth a drive up on your own to spend an hour. stop at Drakes Seat on the way up for photo op. Jewelry is ridiculously priced. $350 for a shiny costume neclace pendant for instance, these likely go for $20-$40 at stateside macys. Pricing on jewelry surprised me as we were just at Turks and Caicos (one of the big shopping islands) abs got really nice pieces for decent prices.

Great view from the highest spot on the island!
My husband and I visited this venue and had a great time. We rented a car for our entire stay so getting here did not require us to book a tour to see Mountain Top. Upon arrival, we took several pictures with the pirate statues - we had a lot of fun with this! Lots of laughs! Next, we explored the expansive gift shop. You can find ANYTHING you want here. We then made our way to the observation deck and took our time taking in the view. Display boards show you the islands and the names of each for easy visual identification. We skipped purchasing a banana daiquiri only because it was 9:30am although we saw patrons “going for it” regardless of the time of day; kudos to them! We spent about 45min - 1 hour, took a bunch of pictures from the highest point of the island, chatted with other enthusiastic tourists, bought some postcards and now can check off this must do experience on our list.

Great Ride Up for Fantastic Views
Great views on a sunny day I’m sure, but we visited on a not so clear day. Oh well, the gift shop is huge and has something for everyone. Some sales on jewelry but prices were quite high for sterling and fine jewelry. T shirts good quality and staff are friendly.

Must See Mountain Top Gift Shop and Overlook
A must-see stop. Lots of tourist buses, we had a rental car. Huge gift shop, T-shirts, knick knacks, sun screen and anything you need. There is a busy drink line, both alcohol and soft drinks. One son bought a rum & banana smoothie with souvenir cup. Be sure to walk all the way through the gift shop for the breathtaking views!

    Nice view and store
MT is a very big store dedicated to selling souvenirs that also offers a great panoramic view of Megan’s Bay. Not necessarily worth a solo trip here but there are a number of other sites to see in conjunction. If you can’t find a souvenir here that you like then it’s probably not made as their selection is extensive. They also offer Cruzan rum drinks and sell ice cream.

    Amazing views of St Thomas
Our tour took us to Mountain Top. The day was pretty clear and being up so high we got to see a number of island countries off in the distance, not knowing how close we were from them. Very large gift shop and home of the world famous banana daiquiri.

The BEST view of Magan's Bay!
This place had the best panoramic view of Magan's Bay on the island. It also has very nice banana daiquiries! Ither than that it is a bit of a huge tourist trap. Nice place to take great pictures and meet new people! Take the time to get to the Mountaintop!

    Those VIEWS!!
We were on a bus tour that stopped here and it was amazing. The views were incredible. Greta for photo op's. The shop has all kind of stuff and we did find some good deals on t-shirts and such. Claim the World's Best Banana Daiquiri.

    Best view on the island
The views from this tourist stop don't get any better on the entire island. We went on our own and discovered some absolutely incredible views and even found some bargains on t-shirts and souvenirs. From atop this mountain, you can see Magen's Beach and many of the nearby islands and cays. It was worth the drive up just to take in the views -- the bargain priced shirts were a bonus.

    Location, location, location. Great views
Traveling as a family of seven - 2 seniors, 3 adult children and a 5 and 7 year old we drove up here after ziplining. The views were amazing as were the daiquiris, even the non alcoholic ones for the littles. Pricy for sure but with views like this to enjoy them it's all about the location. The littles also slurped down some ice-cream which was quite good. Now onto the gift shop. We thought this had the best offering of gifts, souvenirs and clothing that we found during our 8 day stay. We also thought the prices were reasonable. In fact, on our last day, we contemplated driving back up just to shop. We found nothing comparable in Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie.

Sip a banana daiquiri while you browse the massive gift shop, or take your drink on to the observation deck while you marvel at the most gorgeous view of Magens Bay and neighboring Islands (like Hans Lollik and Thatch Cay). We visited on a rainy day but we got to Mountain Top in time to enjoy the view before the rain fell. We have visited on sunny days as well, and the view is breathtaking. Our kids enjoyed the non alcoholic banana daiquiri and picked out souvenirs for their friends and teachers. Other beverages are also available for sale (beer, liquor, and sodas). Altogether, we loved it.

Spectacular views at the highest point in St. Thomas. We got the largest banana daiquiri in the Pilsner souvenir cup. It was so delicious, we ended up getting another one. Don’t do that…you will be very drunk. 😂

The view is fine, but the tour buses drag tourists up there to deposit them into the overpriced gift shop where they get a payment. This is the same tacky crap they sell at the cruise terminal.

We’ve been to St. Thomas multiple times, but this was our first time visiting Mountain Top. I wish we stopped by on our earlier visits. It’s a great tourist destination, as it has the best and largest gift shop I’ve seen on the island. They have everything here for shopping, and the items seem like good quality. They have an amazing supply of apparel (hats, t-shirts, keepsakes, jewelry, sweatshirts, etc.), rum, and gifts. Pricing is what you’d expect at a tourist shop, but everything seemed reasonably priced.

And the bar at the back has nice options for everyone. If you like bananas, you have to try their frozen banana daiquiris, which they’re famous for. They have other drink options as well.

Then be sure to take in the amazing sights from their balcony which has unmatched views of Magens Bay and the BVI’s. It’s probably the highest point on the island of St. Thomas, so you can’t beat the views. We came on a day without cruise ships in town and it was a little overcast, so there were very few people there. There was ample parking too. The drive up was tricky, but manageable.

Give yourself enough time to shop and enjoy a cocktail while taking in the beautiful views! You won’t regret it!

Yes this is a tourist trap, but the views are amazing and you can see Magens Bay and a number of neighbouring islands. They make a strong banana daiquiri but why not have one whilst there.

Banana daiquiris and a great view!! Sure it’s a tourist trap; but do it anyways and get yourself the largest banana daiquiri you can and take photos of the view!!
