We drove around chalk sound and looked at a few places to stay and eat. It's amazingly beautiful there. Not too far from anything and it feels safe. Would most definitely go back and stay there next year.

It's truly beautiful, and the bluest water in the world, but if a cloud covers the sun, all of a sudden it's just another big body of water. We had clouds for the first 30 minutes (we rented a car, drove up Chalk Sound and pulled off towards the end of the road...nowhere really to park), and I was so... More

We drove the length of Chalk Sound and then found the on street parking for the beach. Long, flat, shallow beach perfect for young children. There is very little parking as the entrance is in a residential neighborhood. No food or facilities.

Try pontoon boat tour out of Las Brisas restaurant for an on-water tour of the sound, including snorkel over 38-year old crashed plane.

We rented a double kayak from a very nice young man at Neptune villas ( Las Brias restaurant ) .Chalk sound is quite shallow and an amazing colour ! Enjoyed our paddle out to some little islands but hurried back as storm clouds, including a funnel looking one gathered on the horizon. A man yelled to us from shore," there's... More

The colors of the ocean are breathtaking. I was amazed at how far you can walk out into the clear blue water. The ocean floor was so soft.

The turquoise waters of the Chalk Sound are absolutely stunning. We had a view daily as the home we rented was on the sound, but if you aren't on the sound, it is worth a drive out to see it and at least eat at La Brisas (which is on the sound). They even rent kayaks or offer a pontoon... More

We took the family here and loved the beach, the lack of crowds, peace and quiet, and scenery. It was pretty easy to get there from Royal West Indies (car rental). We parked just down from the Police Station in the lot across the street from a path leading to the beach. There was a water sports rental tent and... More
