This is not the typical tourist trap: this is a real community with big dreams and strong decisions. From Ashton Lagoon to Belmont Salt Ponds and beach: the whole Island is full of nature. You will not regreat.

I love dropping the anchor at Union. You do have to be aware that this island tends to be on the expensive side. The vibe is great and if you think the price is not fair don't buy.

Union Island is a beautiful, authentic Caribbean destination without the frills but with all the charm of the real deal.

We stopped over at the Chatham Bay for half a day and truly enjoyed the experience. Snorkeling was nice, with the treasure trove of juvenile puffer fish on the left side of the bay (left if you are facing the shore).

There is little area with shops and restaurants and kite surfing school right where the jetty is. If you are more interested in swimming and relaxing Palm Island is much nicer and it's just across.
