Jason, the "tour guide" did educate us on their product. The problems: no DD program of any kind. The experience starts with sampling their wares, which leads to just a loud group of obnoxious folk. After an hour(when the whole thing is supposed to be 45 minutes), where jason was doing his best to get everyone sloshed, people did not even want to take the tour, just buying product, causing an even longer delay for the rest of us as they had to be cashed out. We left, disgusted. If you want to go drop a ton of cash on their rum & get drunk in the process, it's probably a good tour. Otherwise, skip it.

Did tasting through distillery.group of 5. Website says tour price is 15 usd. We were charged 15 ky,, 25% bump. Website also says discount avail for groups of 5 or more. Person doing tour never heard of that and did not offer or give discount. They also insisted on the ky charge. We went for 11am tour. Started over 20 min late, then we had to sit and wait longer as even later folks came in, and the guide went back to the start for them. Great for latecomers but we had plans afterwards. Did not get out till 12:45 and we were first to pay after.
Rum selections were nice we enjoyed them. Tour was std small co tour.

This tour was booked on our recent cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway. It was a great stop - very fun and informative. Hard to believe how much info they can share with a 30 minute time limit. For a tour of 30+ people inside additional bathrooms would be a hit.

We had the opportunity to meet and work with Sarita to make a few peri-wedding arrangements. She was super flexible, friendly, and accommodating. She was also the most well informed person we came across during our trip to the island. Our favorite: she was a good listener, and budget conscious. We received many amazing tips on how to save on multiple occasions. I highly recommend her and her company for any excursion and events that may take you to the Cayman. She's been a pleasure to work with. We are looking forward to our next event with them.
Thank you Sarita <3

Whats not to like. Our host (from Jersey) was beyond entertaining and personable, really knew his spirits and you could tell that he loved what he did. The rums were all exceptional with some having a smoothness and taste like I've never experienced. Their vodka is in a category all its own, you have to try it. I wish I could have brought more of it home.

I was there a couple of years ago and it was a blast! Very good rum in many different styles and flavors. I especially liked the dark rum and bourbon barrel aged rum, and the 7 fathoms was really interesting. I even liked some of the flavored rums.
Tour is very inexpensive for what you get. The distillery is not a massive production plant. It's a nice smaller place with real character. The people there really seem to go out of their way to show you a good time.
Nice souvenir shop with many different items.

We spent a wonderful afternoon at Cayman Spirits. Kudos to our host, Misko! The entire "tour" consists of tasting about 15 different rums with rather generous pours. The next part is a quick trip through the distillery--by quick, I mean about 10 minutes with just two or three stops. The best part of the day was listening to Misko, who explained the process of making rum and described each of the different varieties. This is a great way to spend an hour or so and I highly recommend it.

Tour starts with a tasting of ALL their offerings. Ten? or so different rums and other spirits. All really well done. After that it’s back to the area where the magic happens. Love the story behind the name of their Seven Fathoms Rum. Aged in sealed barrels 42 feet under the ocean. Highly recommend spending an hour with this tour when you’re in Cayman.

This is a small gem of a place. We got there by taxi, the best way to go. We started with a tasting that included most of their products. We really enjoyed their 7 Fathoms rum. Their other rums and liqueurs were delicious as well. We were then given a tour of the distillery.
There was, of course, an opportunity to buy their products but there was no pressure to do so. And, they let us know how we could get their rum in the states.
The young man leading the tour was friendly and outgoing. Everyone there made sure we felt welcome.
If you are interested in spirits, it is a great place to try.

There are a couple different tour options for the distillery. There is a self-guided one, that I wouldn't recommend, because I think the real delight from this tour comes from interacting with the staff and getting to sample the rum. The regular guided tour is $15 USD. The tour guide, Jordan, was very engaging. He is involved in the distilling and aging process, so he knows a lot about it, plus he is a great story teller. We learned about the entire process of how rum was made. We got to see the barrels they age them in and hear about the underwater aging process (so cool). The gift shop/bar sells shirts and bottles of rum. We bought a bottle of the rum aged under water (Seven Fathoms Rum) and was able to have it signed by the master distiller. They also have some water to clean your pallet and I saw some pop that I believe was for sale. Call ahead to schedule a tour. We didn't have a problem finding it because we had a GPS with us. However, a lot of people have a hard time finding it. Here's what we realized: when you turn onto Bronze Rd. you think you're on the wrong road, it's not a very good road. Look up and you can see the top (red roof) of the distillery. You are going in the right direction, keep following the road as it winds and you think you are entering someone's driveway or an ally, you're not, your still on the right road. Keep going and at the end of the road you will end up at the distillery.

I read some comments to a question about the distance from the Cruise Port. People were saying it was about 2 miles. I checked Google Maps and see that it is a 2km (25 minute) walk. Has anyone walked here from the cruise port? Is it a safe walk?

We walked from our resort - also about 25/30 minutes. It was safe and clean just through some more neighborhoods rather than just downtown.

Yes they do. We took several samples with us. We packed them in our suitcase that was checked baggage and there was no problem getting them home.

what is the best tour time to use if we also want to go to Hell? Our ship will be there from 7-3. Not sure if should go to distillery first or last.

I would go there around 9:00 AM to avoid the crowd.

Yes I think you can buy it. You can buy any of the items them make. I have a pic of it and all the types they make. We were able to drink as much as we want for the time we were there.

Can we just show up at the distillery by taxi and pay for entry at the door

It’s safer if you make a reservation. If you happen to get there when a big tour group arrives it can get crowded. But I’m sure the staff will do their best to accommodate you.

My father is 82 and wants to do this tour. He’s not in a wheelchair, but he isn’t able walk terribly long distances. How much walking is required on this tour between places to sit for a break?

It’s a very small shop, should not be any problem
