We initially chartered 2 older Beneteaus to bring 12 scouts and adult captains for a bareboat charter. Irma and Maria had other plans. BVIYC was in regular communications, and generously upgraded our boats at no charge. We ended up with 3 boats, 19 scouts and...More

Even though the islands were still healing from Hurricane Maria, many of our favorite restaurants and bars were remodeled and open for business when we visited for a week in May. As usual, the BVI Yacht Charters’ Staff (Abbie, Cassie, Hannah, Chris) was more than...More

We had two families come together for a week-long bareboat charter to celebrate the graduations of my daughter and their son, and it was better than we could have ever have dreamed. My family of 4 have been coming to the BVI for many years,...More

The staff at BVI Yacht Charters were great because they answered all inquiries promptly and completely. Our boat was almost new, and we were delighted to find that it had a state-of the art chart plotter. The sails were in excellent condition. Provisioning was easy...More

We had a vacation of a lifetime in the BVI's. Sure the marina location is not pretty, but I didn't come to the BVI's to sit in the slip. While I don't find Road Town particularly attractive anyway, I'm not sure how much of that...More

BVI is the closest you will ever find to heaven! And doing it on this boat is the best way to do it. Even after the unfortunate disaster they suffer because of the hurricane, the place maintains a "charm" and a "magic" that cannot be...More

If you are looking for the best vacation ever, I would highly recommending booking a charter on Altesse. The crew, Rich and Sarah, treated us like royalty. The food, company and service was outstanding.

We did a couples vacation with 6 people - what an unforgettable trip. BVI Yacht Charters was great. We chartered the Allegro, and were more than comfortable for our week cruise. We had sailing experience, so we didn’t need a captain for the trip. This...More

Our party of eight spent 7 fabulous days in May bareboating on JDog (48 Oceanis). The boat sailed perfectly, the wind blew steadily and the water was crystal clear. As in all our charters with BVIYC, the staff could not have been more professional, accommodating...More

Hi Scott, An appropriate gratuity would be 15% of the charter fee. You should provide all meals for your captain. So provision for 1 extra person. If you dine ashore you can take the captain with you and pay for their meals... More

Hi, Tipping is highly recommended especially if the captain is attentive to your needs. The boat will have most if not all utensils etc. the captain or charter should tell you if they are providing food?
