Great little fort. We saw it from our cruise ship as we entered the port. Very beautiful area. Great for photos. An easy walk up the 200 steps from the parking lot/market below. Very beautiful place for pictures.

It's easy to arrive and one of the most beautiful views in all the Island and for sure in the Marigot area. The fort itself is small and has nothing special, but it's a nice fast visit because of the views if you are visiting...More

Great place to visit and fantastic vue to the Marigot port. Understand why the French defended tenaceously the fort and defeated the British. It controls everything around

Getting a bit of history was a great idea. This fort takes you back in time to educate the whole family about the previous discoveries and their heroes. I did enjoy the scenery and the facts.

The goal was to balance trying new things while repeating satisfying experiences. Well, we missed the Market in Marigot on Wednesday, since we’d just flown in and our favorite mode of transportation, Aquamania’s water taxi, doesn’t run on Saturdays (the Market’s other reportedly busy day)...More

There is an amazing view of the island from atop of the fort. We were able to see Anguilla in addition to the beauty that was Marigot. There are a few cannons that remain around the fort

Nothing much to see at the fort, but great spot for views. Some history also to be read at the information boards.

A not so strenuous hike that provides great 360 degree views of the island. It is off the beaten path and not very great signage directs you to a parking lot that may be the local family practitioner or hike up to the fort. Big...More

Great view from the fort. You can see Little Bay, Great Bay and Philipsburg from there. There are some cannons and remains of a couple of buildings. The path up to the fort is a little rocky so you might want to wear closed toe...More

St. Maarten is known mostly because the beaches. In my opinion it is a great half a day trip from any resort to see something else. The views are very good. Visit on the weekends of during the day avoid traffic jams.

There's no toiletries and no wi fi. But you will spend about 1 hour only to visit all place. The view is great!
