- Tim J9 contributionsCrowdedBathing in the springs felt really good and did seem to relieve joint pain. Unfortunately the place was very crowded with loud tour groups, which made the experience less than serene. If you are looking for a more peaceful experience, go to the mineral baths at the botanical gardens instead.Visited December 2022Traveled with familyWritten December 29, 2022
- Srimanth RudrarajuGreater London, United Kingdom332 contributionsAmazing for the skin. Feels so soft and nice.Skin is so soft and nice after the bat. Loved the mud bath and the full experience. We drenched ourselves in the water and then applied sulphur all over and let it dry. We did some artwork with the black sulphur and took some great photos before washing it off in the nearby waterfalls. It was a bit crowded. The tour guide explained to us that the black one was only for decoration as it is avaaiable in scarcity and to use the white one all over the skin. unfortunately, many of them were using the black quite a lot. Wish they put up a sign explaining this.Visited December 2022Written December 31, 2022
- BrandyladyAberdeen, United Kingdom1,230 contributionsUp close to natureWent here on a tour of island. Very interesting and guide who told us the information and was very knowledgeable. Great to smell the sulphur and see the bubbling pools of volcanic mud .As the bus ‘ drives in ‘ to the springs , this is an experience suitable for all ages and abilities ( unlike many I’ve previously done) thoroughly recommendVisited January 2023Written January 10, 2023
- Luria A4 contributionsBrand new skinWent in without a guide and paid 25XCD at the entrance. It’s not necessary to have a guide but I imagine would have been informative. There are 4 springs and they are 4ft/122cm deep. They all say they’re 38° but they got hotter the closer to the top end you got. There are buckets of light and dark mud fr you to lather on your body. The staff advised to keep it on for a while before washing it off in the springs to get the most benefit from it. Overall the experience was great. We arrived at midday and it was intermittently crowded. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are free shower and toilet facilities, as well as vendors at the entrance selling drinks, snacks and crafts. The mud and springs left our skin feeling so smooth, soft and immaculate. I would suggest to bring water in with you as we got dehydrated quickly and had headaches after.Visited January 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 15, 2023
- Lorraine BSt. Albans, United Kingdom386 contributionsGreat to seeClose to the mud baths it is well worth the extra short walk up the hill to the see the boiling mud and steam vents of the dormant volcano. A short tour with a very informative guide helps you understand what’s happening. We had the lovely Suzzete to explain and remind us of what we learnt many years ago in school about volcanoes and the earths crust.Visited January 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 24, 2023
- Krystina C24 contributionsInteresting volcano history tour and fun mud bath experienceA tour guide takes you to the active part of the volcanic site and gives a very interesting history/chemistry/cultural tour. We loved this part! The mud baths were a fun experience - there were only a few people there when we went but I can see where it would be less enjoyable with a lot of people there as it is a smaller site. I felt this was a necessary part of the island to experience since it is such a unique tour and I am so glad we did it!Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 11, 2023
- BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia17,664 contributionsAverage experienceSulphur springs are located in the southwestern part of St. Lucia, near the famous Pitons and the original capital of Soufriere who even got its name due to them. I found it as an average attraction as we saw several such baths worldwide, so these didn't impress me that much. Another annoying factor were huge crowds there due to two cruisers in port that day. You can choose to visit the springs with or without bathing in them.Visited January 2023Written February 19, 2023
- MikeP11 contributionsTake a dip in the bathsThe Sulphur Springs are made more interesting by the local guide. The 'must do' is a dip in the warm sulphur baths, after coating yourself in mud! We visited without a formal tour group and therefore were able to spend much longer at the baths.Visited February 2023Written February 22, 2023
- Ian MidgleySardinal, Costa Rica26 contributionsNot all it’s made out to beWe booked a trip with Tui a catamaran trip which was pretty much average nothing to write home about we were taken by minibus up to the mudbaths we were herded like sheep, place was just manic. We left there and went to a restaurant. For lunch, then it was off to the waterfall which is nothing spectacular again, very busy then it was back to the catamaran. They stopped off at a bay to snorkel for 20 minutes overall, it’s made out to be more than what it is the least you can say you’ve been there done thatVisited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 24, 2023
- Janis AAylesbury, United Kingdom39 contributionswarm mud baths are fun but also relaxingThe sulphur springs are interesting, and you can get a guide to tell you more about it, although I just had a look on my own. Next to the springs are warm mud baths that are said to be really good for the skin. So go with your swimming costume, there are changing rooms at the baths. The baths are open for tourists from 9am until 5pm monday to friday - the rest of the time they are exclusively for the locals, who clearly use them extensively. Go early or late as the heat of the middle of the day is not so conducive to hot baths! Strong smell of sulphur of course - which I did not mindVisited March 2023Written March 7, 2023

Crowded with tour buses. Go early. We have been to many sulphur springs and this one is small and exceptionally busy. Nevertheless we did enjoy ourselves but did not stay too long.

Best experience!! Walk with 2 towels per person, I recommend walking with thin long pant, tee and perhaps a thin rain jacket because the boat ride can get cold with the rain.

This tour was amazing to see volcanic action in action. The smell of Sulphur is front and center. The heat is immediate but would recommend. Did not do mud bath but many couples did partake.

Over crowded, poorly managed, baths were too hot for kids.
We barely got to touch the mud, large groups ignored the queues and spent more than their fair share of time in the baths, making smaller groups have to wait or have no room to comfortably enjoy the experience
We were there at 11am. If you want to enjoy it I suggest being there for the opening times before crowds build up

We visited the mud baths during our visit in St Lucia. While it may seem gross, it is a really neat experience. The mud and the soak really does soften your skin. Don’t rush. Take your time and soak and enjoy. This is a must on your visit to St Lucia

We arrived and wanted to do both the volcano tour and sulphur springs. The tour of the volcano was good and our guide was very informative and friendly however when we went to the sulphur springs we were disappointed to find the chap who gets the mud had gone home at 3pm so we were unable to actually do the mud baths. This was never said when we bought the tickets or when we did the volcano tour - very disappointing.

Bonjour
Pour Sulfer Springs est il préférable de porter des chaussures fermées type basket pu des sandales ?
Il y a t-il un endroit où déposer ses effets personnels et un endroit où se changer après ?
Merci.
Is there service at the mud baths? I have T-Mobile

We are doing volcano sulphur springs, hopefully as part of trip and as a drive through. On this type of trip do we stay in the car and if so what is the entry fee or am I misinterpreting thanks

I didn’t do the volcano tour so I don’t know and the hot springs tour was included in the tour cost but I doubt that either costs much. You get out of your car into the hot springs for a soak and mud experience and can stay as long as you want, but I’d set aside about an hour including change room time. The springs are very hot but fun once you get in😊.

For those that took the mud bath, does the smell stay won you the rest of the day? Even if you rinse off?

We are renting a car to drive to the hot springs from cruise port. Are we crazy to do so? We have 5 in our family and taxi's will be expensive. Dangerous to drive?

We drive in st Lucia all the time. Road are narrow and winding so give yourself lots of time. Drive speeds are 40 to 65 km. You may get to 80km but that's rare.
It's right hand drive and left side of road. Opposite of us canadians. We know a fellow who operates tours from cruise ships. 7585849402 his name is julian. He has a 15 passenger van

There is don’t remember how much but it wasn’t expensive total around 15-20 for two ... it wasn’t worth it because it was overrun by Tourist ... we paid and left very quickly ...not worth it .
Try going on the day that cruise shops are not in town
