Went to Rodney Bay beach for the day and were delighted to meet Chantelle. We were well looked after all day with sun loungers, parasols, beers and laughs. She is one lovely lady.

You can stay around the bay or use public transport to go to Pigeon Island. There is a walk once you get of the bus but it's worth it.
There is also a water taxi from Rodney Bay to Pigeon Island for those that prefer not to walk in the heat.

Absolutely gorgeous, only concern was the small drop off as you enter water and quite difficult to get out. However, that might just be where we were at the Starfish resort.

If anyone is thinking of coming to Rodney bay for a lovely beach, then don’t! We arrived yesterday, thought we would spend a day on the beach, walked there about 5 minutes away. It was absolutely rammed, couldn’t even see the beach! I’ve never seen anything like it, was so disappointed. The people were arriving by the dozen, as two cruise ships had docked. Have visited many countries all over the world, this is by far one of the worst!!!

Our family of 4 adults traveled to St. Lucia in January 2023. We rented an airbnb in Rodney Bay, primarily because we knew we wanted to be in an area with some action, and didn't want to have to drive everywhere we went. The airbnb was wonderful! It was right in the heart of Rodney Bay, and afforded us the opportunity to walk to dinner, to the grocery store, to the marina, etc. There is definitely nightlife in Rodney Bay- music, restaurants, night clubs, etc. We felt safe walking at night in this area, because we were in a group.

Rodney bay is a good place to stay in St Lucia. Many Restaurants and bars as well as an excellent beach.
Can be quite lively at time but in a good way.
We felt safe and comfortable at all times.
Some very up market places to eat as well as a good selection of other restaurants to choose from
Can recommend the beach bar Spinnakers.
Stayed at the SoCo House hotel.
Nice place, friendly staff and reasonable food.
Lots of staff to serve the guests however, the kitchen could do with some help. Kitchen service could be very slow on accessions.
I would say that the hotel which reopened a few months ago is OK, should be seen as a work in progress. All round it was a good holiday.
The town is close by and has just about everything you would need for a holiday, be that all inclusive or self catering.
We would defiantly return to Rodney Bay and to the SoCo House.

If you are near here and you see how beautiful it is then do visit Pigeon Island too. The sea is calm and the sights are beautiful worth a visit.
