Massage in the blue tent. Spencer is a physio so he's doing a better massage than all others around. I was very happy with my massage and he is cheaper than the other massage on Rodney's beach. (half the price and longer) so if you are here for vacation take a massage :) You will love it

The beach was an easy walk from our hotel- Harmony Suites. Lots of room for everyone - even on Thursday and Sunday when the cruise ships are in port and people access the beach from the boat. You can rent 2 lounge chairs and umbrellas for approximately $20USD for the day with some negotiation. The water is clear and warm, under tow can be strong so watch coming out of the water. As a result of the under tow, boat wake etc, the sand can form sand bars that you can’t easily see when entering exiting so it can be uneven and you can enter the water because fell- good news is landing is soft lol. New Year’s Eve fireworks were great from the beach!

OK if you need an easy-to-access, scenic beach, but overrun with loud vendors. One blasts loud music every day from a PA system which you can hear from several area hotels. At least they all moved on with a “no thanks, we’re good.” Just not the peaceful escape I had imagined. The beach itself is a natural wonder. Enjoyed the scenery here once I found a spot. Sunsets are epic. Jet skis zoom back and forth next to swimmers in the area. There was a fatality here a year ago and the local government still hasn’t done anything like mark off separate zones.

Really nice beach and for $20 USD you can rent two chairs and an umbrella for the day. Spinnakers is a beach bar that has good food and drinks. The water was very clear and beautiful. The only drawback was the locals selling goods and a bit more intrusive than I would have liked. But definitely worth.spending a day or two at if you have the time.

I came to St Lucia to reset and have 10 days by myself, I wanted nothing but to be on the beach everyday, read my books, swim in the ocean and that's exactly what I got. I went half way along the beach and discover a nice little quite spot, where I met Kevin (my chair and umbrella guy, who became a friend by the end of the 10 days) he was helpful, respectful and kind, had good chat (if you chatted to him) and sold beers and cigarettes too (for those who wanted them). I particularly like his spot as there where no boats near it, it felt a bit more secluded and had a beautiful 180 view of, with the mountains to my left and the Pegion Island just diagonally across, and buyer part of the beach to the right. Loads of people will go by and sell coconut rums, including Bernardo (i think was his name) an older man who made the best coconut rums, ask for him if you can, he'll get you to drink the coconut water fill your coconut with ice and proceed to add about 10 different kinds of rum! I absolutely loved this island, I barely left, spent a day in Pegion Island which is only a 4 min taxi boat, a return trip for $20 US, you can tell the what time you want to be picked up and they will head back and get you. And another day on a boat going down to the Pitons, but the rest was on this exact spot. The beach itself was clean, beautiful clear water, you can swim as the little fishes come near you, quiet on the days that cruises aren't in town, but even when the cruises came, Kevin's spot was still my favourite. As it wasn't as busy and loud as near Spinnekers (a bar on one end) Would recommend 100%! On my last day, there was a family group with a differently able person, who was being helped by Kevin and his coworkers so that the family could take their dad swimming for a bit. (the guys only helped to get this man in and out of the water, but still were very friendly, respectful and accommodating). Absolutely loved it, if there is only one thing I'd suggest, is that if you go here, please do pay these people their value, don't go there if you're going to be haggling down their rates, that's not fair. Besides that, Go to St Lucia, people are friendly, kind and helpful. Ladies, be aware the men will hit on you left, right and centre but they're harmless, they all just want a chat and connect but flirting is their initial approach, you'd be surprise, you might end up with a friend or two by the end of the trip ;) PS. If you come from the road, there is a restaurant called Razmat or something along the lines, the entrance to Kevin's spot is literally across from this restaurant, where there is a gate to an abandoned house that leads to the beach, and as you come out onto the beach, he is right there on the left. I've attached pictures of him and the spot itself.

Thankfully our hotel was at the northernmost point on Reduit Beach so it wasn't too bad. It was still crowded but I think thanks to the Bay Gardens it was without vendors. I took a walk south on the beach and it remained very busy but there were also a lot of vendors. I would describe this as a typical touristy beach in a touristy town. Stay on the northern part and it is fine.

Nice place for a day out however there are a lot of local vendors around. The vendors renting out beds and parasols are quick to approach you and one of them was even waiting right outside our taxi trying to open the door. We paid $20 for 3 beds and a parasol however it’s best to haggle as other people have paid $25 for 1 bed. The beach itself was quite nice and a good place for snorkelling with some fish close in however there are no public toilets or showers.
