Shell Beach is a quiet, gorgeous beach that is a quick walk from the port. The water was crystal clear and perfectly warm. The entire beach is covered (yes, COVERED) in shells and shell fragments, hence the name! However, don't let this deter you! We...More

We nearly skipped this beach, but were very happy we did not. This is a great beach! We found a little spot on the beach tucked between two big boulders, just past Shellona. The beach is appropriately named. There was no seaweed on this beach...More

I'm sure the heavy amount of seaweed that is here is not a normal occurrence since it seems to be in St. Martin and Saba too. That said this is a great beach that is close to Gustavia if you come on a day trip...More

Decided to spend a few hours in the capitol area, to look at the shops Swedish Tower and Fort Karl. Behind was Shell Beach, it was a small inlet beach, pretty and quaint. If you come to Gustavia bring your suit and can cool off...More

So close to Gustavia. It was easy to get to. Had a nice afternoon here. Waiting for the restaurant/bar to reopen to feel like old times again after the hurricane.

We tried to make a reservation at Shellona for my sister’s 40th birthday next week but unfortunately, they are closed for renovations until June. Major bummer considering it was on her list of “to dos”. Anyway, just thought it would be helpful for others to...More

Shell Beach is aptly named. This is a lovely, small not crowded relaxing charming pretty beach surrounded by cliffs and big boulders. The gorgeous blue water beyond. Amazing location just at the end of town. Do not bother w/ parking with valet-drive around a little...More

Stopped by off our ship and this was the closest beach to where we were dropped off. Not what I was expecting but plenty of people were there and saw one restaurant/bar but did not check prices.

A beautiful beach with great morning sun in a protected bay. The water is almost always calm with beautiful beach to relax and take in the sites.

A very nice little beach spot with some beautiful shells. Need to take your own towels and/or chair to sit on; prices of umbrellas and lounges is very expensive. A short walk from the ferry terminal, but beach is not large enough for strolling.

Honestly, We would not spend a whole day on this beach. It is clearly worth seeing, but as St. Bart's beaches go, this one is at the bottom of the scale. The view is very nice, but the water is rough and the shells are... More

Yes, there is a bar/ restaurant at the beach whig has restrooms where you can change. It is not a very long walk from the marina, maybe a half mile or so, follow the signs.
