It's cheap ($0.50 each way), gets you halfway to Casa Bacardi and gives you a great view of the bay. From the port you can get a shared van to Casa Bacardi with a minimal fee.

We found the ferry purely be accident on the recommendation of Johanna, the ticket agent for Casa Bacardi. Parking in Old San Juan is difficult at best and expensive. Using the ferry service is easy and cheap. The ferry runs every 1/2 hour. There is...More

Known by "Lancha de Cataño" by locals. Is a very cheap way to get to San Juan from Cataño. For less than $1

The ferry is $0.50 each way, and you can buy your round trip ticket from the ticket window. It is easy to find, clean, and a nice way to enjoy being a local.

When the ferry is running, this is a great way to get to the Bacardi factory. It's only a 5 minute ride across the bay and a short taxi ride from the Catano terminal to Bacardi. And, it's only 50 cents one way. If the...More

Well run ferry service, seems safe, not much communication, instruction or welcoming - but it is a ferry service - the crossing was smooth - the facilities relatively grand and open but the bars and seating are quite basic
