While spending a week in PR, this was hands down my favorite bar my fiancé and I went to. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, which was the main reason we went back a second time! Their drinks and ambiance were also beyond fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about this place, other than that I wish there was one just like it back home. I’d you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in.

This is one of our top two cocktail bars we have been to globally. It’s that good. We came by a few times before it opened (at 8pm) and it’s a barbershop before converting into a bar at night. We were the first to arrive once we finally made it at the right time. The atmosphere was like finding out about a great secret. The staff was enthused about walking alongside you to talk drinks and possibilities. For us, this is the piece that sets it above. So many places can make a great drink, but it takes somewhere special to be able to listen to you and start dreaming in real time about what might work. Truly bespoke service. Oh, and of course, the cocktails were perfect. The kind that you find yourself craving for weeks later. Go here.

We love finding fun bars with unique drinks and we hit the jackpot here. From the outside one might walk right by, but once you enter you won't regret it. The decor being one of a old time barbershop where even the chandelier has old shaving brushes hanging from it. Dim lighting contributes to the feeling of old time speakeasies. Each pf our drinks, chosen from a chalkboard wall menu, were delicious and served in upscale old time glasses. The best part was our service, the young lady who helped us was phenomenal in her friendliness and knowledge. Don't miss out on this experience on Loiza! To top it off, the prices were the most reasonable we have come across.

This cocktail bar is unbelievable! The specialty drinks (all the drinks are special), are delicious and different. Not sure what to order, Cyan, our incredible waitress, was ready to make recommendations and she did not disappoint. I had a rum drink with an ice cube that was smoked with cinnamon, annise and the oak from the barrels where the Barrillito rum was stored and then topped with 100% cocao. Soooooo smooth and delicious. I loved it!!! A great place to get interesting and tasty cocktails. I can't wait to go back and try other cocktails!!!!!!

We went before a dinner reservation so we were there quite early, just after opening. That meant we got to talk to the bartender one-on-one! He is amazing. The drink he made for us is his legacy cocktail and it is hands down the best drink I've ever had. I can't remember what it is called but it was rum, lemon, pink peppercorn and rhubarb bitters. I'm hoping to recreate it as my summer drink, ha! GO HERE!

We've been wanting a cozy, low key neighborhood bar with decent bar food and can't believe we only just found El Bar Bero! I loved the eclectic, vintage barbershop (bero) decor, good lighting & music- but the drink options were what really impressed. They had all the best "original" cocktails- I had the moscow mule & my husband the house manhattan- along with your traditional island drinks, and they were all expertly made. The bar is really the main attraction of the room, and for good reason- the drinks are perfect! While this isn't a restaurant (so don't expect a server/ you go to the bar to order) they do serve a few food items and again, exceeded our expectations. The fish tacos were delicious and the chicken/sausage sliders- something the door man recommended- were not only tasty but really original. The bill was like $40- which is hard to beat...! We're super excited to have this great local option so close to home!!! . (Broc did have an issue with there not being soap in the men's bathroom, but there was in the women's, and I'm sure they just ran out...)

El Bar Bero doesn't disappoint. The mixologists are like artists, adding a healthy dose of creativity to a typical cocktail menu. The drinks that we got ranged from $8-$15, depending on type of liquor (good to ask ahead of time since prices aren't on the menu). The setting is also unique with fun barber chairs sitting around and nice cocktail tables. Highly recommend!

Had drinks here one night as this bar came up as top sites to visit in San Juan area and was half block from our hotel. They are true mixologists here and are very good. Had two different drinks -- Tiki Man and the Barbero Viejo -- both bourbon delights. This eclectic bar was truly a treat - a hidden gem in a large city. Both mixologists are named Carlos -- both take pride in mixing their drinks. They take great care in all their ingredients -- homemade ginger beer, best of limes, etc. The lime scent and taste in the Tiki Man bourbon based drink was divine -- fresh and delish! We went back again the next night. Personal service is awesome -- they are friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by to have a night cap like we did. The food was fine -- we had the charcuterie board with cheeses and meats.

This is a truly different kind of hang out With its antique barber chairs and specialty cocktails this makes for a great after dinner place to visit, relax and take in all the antique items featured here. The staff was very welcoming and they have a good selection of cocktails and some beer as well. They also serve food, however we did not partake in any while there.
