The beach itself is incredible. Clear water and white sand. And lots to see. What really really sucks are locals who don't get a NO if you are not interested in buying things. First we were polite but unfortunately it was a big mistake. They just won't let off from you. So at some point we just moved on without... More

Cemetery beach is a little less crowded and you can find some shade. Governors beach is a little bigger with good snorkeling not far from the sand. We saw stingrays just 30 yards from shore. The beach is just amazing to walk, see all walks of life. Just keep moving on when the locals try to get your attention!!! At first I was polite...big mistake....just keep walking, they'll get the message....no worries. Also use deet from the knees down in the evenings.....just to be safe.

Stay at any hotel on 7 mile beach and enjoy several restaurants, bars, and lots of people watching. You will encounter many Jamaicans wanting to sell you various things. Be curious if you are interested in their wares. If not, keep walking. They are wonderful people, trying to make a living. Try to enjoy the whole experience. The beach is... More

The Seven Mile Beach is definitely worth visiting if you are travelling to Jamaica. We did a day trip to Negril (using exchange privileges. with our resort) and we had a great time. The water is an amazing colour, and there are lots of beach vendors. We bought a very tasty papaya and orange from a vendor. I would definitely... More
