About
Consisting of a series of natural limestone pools, the Blue Hole is a hidden gem that captivates travelers with its azure waters. It offers quite the adventure: swim in the pools, go cliff-jumping, swing from ropes into the waters, explore a cave, and take a 10-minute hike to the Secret Falls. There are bathrooms and changing rooms onsite, with lockers and lifejackets available for rent. There aren’t much crowds at the Blue Hole, especially from mid-morning onwards. The waterfall is best visited with a tour from Montego Bay or Ocho Rios, which often includes the option to also visit Dunn’s River Falls, or go river tubing. – Tripadvisor

- nodrama1Darien, Connecticut409 contributionsFun jumping off waterfalls. We did this on a rainy day and it was the perfect activity. This activity would get choked up with large crowds. It took us 1 hr in total. This is not for the faint hearted and is better for people who can swim (although life jackets are available). This activity would be shut down by lowly personal injury lawyers in the US. You jump from rock ledges from waterfalls into the river below. The water is 20ft deep so no issue about hitting the bottom. I would not do this with young children or weak swimmers. A local "guide" will escort you around the blue hole. They are not employed by the Blue hole ($25 to get in per person) and they expect a tip. Remember average income in Jamaica is $110 USD per week.Visited March 2023Written March 21, 2023
- Pam DNew York City, New York28 contributionsBeautiful Fall! This fall is so beautiful! The cascade is so nice and the water is refreshing, the staff is also very helpful if you have travelers that do not want to jump off the cliff. They have a rock formation that you walk off of into a lower parts. Would recommend this tour, its quick and amazing!Visited March 2023Written March 22, 2023
- HazieskyLondon, United Kingdom41 contributionsFun and beautiful time at the Blue HoleWe did the blue hole and Dunns together as an excursion. We went with our 6 & 8 year old. They loved the Blue Hole, they are pretty confident in the water and enjoyed jumping off the platform numerous times and the rope swing at the end was fun too! Lindo was our guide and he was great - really enthusiastic and good with our kids ensuring they were safe climbing and in the water. Recommend water shoes and wearing a life jacket the water runs fast! Also if you aren’t confident with heights or in the water I would say this isn’t for you.Visited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten April 5, 2023
- Dave K13 contributionsADVENTURE AND THRILL SEEKINGWonderful place, adventure starts with the transfer to the park. The lifeguards and staff were Fantastic. It’s a fairly quick tour. I would do it all over again though. My family had fun and that’s what matters. Don’t miss out on this adventure. Jump from hi and low and enjoy the blue holeVisited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten April 7, 2023

- Kevin L2 contributionsA must visit while in Jamaica.Great place to visit. Amazing staff. The best tour guide there is Dante hands down. Very charismatic great photographer and all. He made sure wife and I had an amazing experience while we were there.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 11, 2023
- thezonda188 contributionsPhotogenic jungle waterfallsWent here with my wife and 2 year old, we didn't do any swimming or cliff jumping although that is what almost everyone else there was doing. There are a couple of photogenic waterfalls and a nice little stroll through the jungle along a beautiful river. It's kind of pricey for a waterfall, but it is a unique opportunity to do something like this and the water is just gorgeous.Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 19, 2023
- dandls402Leicester, United Kingdom37 contributionsGreat fun, but not for the faint hearted. We visited Blue Hole as a three generation family, from six to 78 years old. The reviews don’t really make clear how adventurous this place is. The youngsters loved it, going round three times. As the eldest, I was really scared when I saw the height of the jump into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. But I did it and felt great afterwards. The staff were very attentive. But don’t try this if you are at all unsteady. A health and safety inspector would have a nightmare.Visited March 2023Traveled with familyWritten April 28, 2023

Blue hole was truly stunning and exhilarating. Highly recommend to everyone. Our tour guide was the great, ask for Robert Jnr. He made us feel safe abd confident to do the jumps and gave us the absolutely best time. I really couldn’t recommend enough. Water shoes / towel and change of clothes needed.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 25, 2023

This eco attraction was outstanding. Not only do they introduce the Jamaican jungle plants as you trek through the awesome pathways all around the waterfalls, they guide you on a fun-filled wet adventure down the falls. Shout out to Tyhair, our tour guide who took several pictures of us with our Waterproof camera and literally CARRIED me across some areas that my artificial heel would have given me problems. Aces to this tour, a must do!

The Blue Hole looked good on the Internet and Trip Advisor, but we weren't prepared for just how great this place is. We intended to stay out of the water and take photos 😉, but the jumps and swings are so enticing, we did the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed it! And the pools in sunlight are just as blue as they appear in the photo! Wow! The guides are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. And capable of carrying all your stuff, cameras and phones! Not only that, they always seem to be in the right place, at the right time to take a photo of you with your camera!

Visited via a tui trip. No time to relax and enjoy this beautiful place, felt rushed and no alternative offered if you didn’t want to jump off waterfalls. The guys quite pushy for tips and were quite irritable.
Pretty exiting though, especially if your not a thrill seeker and ended up on this trip by accident,

Bring quick-dry towels, swimwear, water shoes, and cash. We were caught off guard because this was part of an ATV tour we booked and didn't realize it included the Blue Hole or even what the Blue Hole is. It was fun, cold, and helped get some of the mud off.

Blue Hole was amazing! Robert Jr. was a fantastic guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to visit with. He even shared his very talented music writing skills with us as we walked. Very impressive. We loved the adrenaline surge jumping into Blue Hole. It was a blast and I highly recommend it. Don’t worry. Jumping is optional.

OMG, this was a great experience. You wear a life jacket so even if you're not a good swimmer, you will be fine. The staff there is amazing. They will make you feel safe.

Our tour guide for the day recommended to include a visit to Blue hole and we are glad we did. Per our 11 year old son, it was the most fun he ever had in the water. Water was refreshing with gorgeous views. Water shoes were needed, a guide is assigned to each group who was with us for the entire activity.

So you can read lots of negatives but this is how we found it. It's a cash only attraction. It was raining hard and the crystal blue water was a murky, greyish blue - that's down to the weather, not the attraction. A guide is required, makes sense because within minutes you are going to be standing on a rock and being prompted/told to jump into the pool. If you've not done this before this is the moment for overcoming any fears and go for it. Then a similar jump but swinging out over the pool and then letting go; then, for us, a bit of a trek to our third jump which seemed twice as high. Don't think about it, just do it. Was offered a fourth jump from a waterfall but decided enough adrenalin expended. On our rainy day it was muddy trekking through the woods, but safe with care. The vendors had pretty much given up and gone home for the day, so no hassle and, being later in the day on a wet afternoon we pretty much had the attraction and jumps to ourselves. Our guide 'Nic' was courteous and cautioned us about slippery areas and, of course, wanted a decent tip. Our tour guide advised that $25 was fair and Nic seemed content. Good changing facilities to get back into dry clothes. Would be a good idea to have a few more safety notices around the attraction as there are risks involved.

They are a private service so its up to you how long you want to stay ive stayed 1hr -2hrs . I mean ive eaten at so many stops if your in Ocho rios try pattie stop in the town or scotches for jerk chicken the drivers know everything so there the best to chat up with on the day and just let them serve you .

Lo siento mucho, no lo hago. No hablo español pero estoy seguro de que hay opciones. Estoy dispuesto a apostar que tienen guÃas turÃsticos que hablan español, pero no es un idioma común en Jamaica.

How far is the platform from the water? My husband and I are in a debate after jumping this summer. He says it was a 10’ jump and I say 30’. What’s the correct distance? Thanks!

I’m not sure of the exact height of the jump. It felt like 10 metres, but was probably not much more than 5. All I know is that I would probably have not chosen to go there if I had known the reality beforehand. But, having survived, I felt good about it.

Yes, as long as you are able to do a little walking and moving. It's a little slippery at times, you definitely need water shoes.

I am a non swimmer and fear of deep water. However hubby is good swimmer. We are keen to visit blue hole with tui trip to kokono falls to. Can I just walk the falls while hubby swims. Or paddle in shallower waters. Life jacket won't conquer the fear tried it in Dominican Republic when missold a waterfall tour.

I didnt see any broken glass or sharp rocks. Thus, even no shoes would have been okay where we were, but I recommend them only for safety. I think any shoe with a strap to stay on would be fine. Sliders will definitely fall off.

Masks until after paperwork and paying. Then, follow your guide and his instructions. It is all within 100 yards. Hump as many times as you like from either base and use the hand-zip slide as often as you like. Tip upon completion and check the photo shop...barter a lot if you like one or more photos.
