Stayed in the Riu Palace Macao for 2 weeks from the 10th April to 24th, the Hotel is situated along this stretch of beach along with 4 other Riu Hotels.
Outside the hotel there was a section of beach that was designated for the exclusive use of the hotel guests. The other side of the pathway was the public part of the beach, hotel sunbeds had managed to find their way here.
There were sunbeds provided on the beach, by the hotel, there were no umbrellas provided the only shade was courtesy of the coconut and palms trees populated along the beach, there were very few trees on the public beach.
The beach was a long stretch of beautiful white sand with the crystal clear water of the Atlantic Ocean crashing on it. There were a number of other hotels along this stretch of the Island's coastline.
There were Beach Sellers/ Hawkers selling everything ranging from hand bags, hats, jewellery, artwork, sunglasses, cigars, beachwear, clothing, wood carvings and plenty more. In fairness they were not intrusive or an annoyance and they stayed on the public element of the beach, rarely venturing into the Hotel section.
It was also possible for hair to be beaded or henna tattoos.
Scube Caribe was located on the beach, where boat trips, excursions and boat parties could be booked along with water sport activities, wind surfing, kayaking, catamaran hire.
There are guys walking the beach with monkeys, parrots and iguanas, all very cute but they charge to take photographs.
Other water sport activities, were available from local operators, as well as boat trips and tours. Inflatable bananas, arm chairs / Big Mable and doughnuts could be seen transporting guests across the waves.
Sightseeing helicopters were regular visitors above us, great way to see the coast.
From the beach it is also possible to see and take a short boat trip to the shipwreck, Astron Tanker, that sank in April 1978, it is visible from the beach. There are some diving done near the shipwreck.
Bar /waiting staff from our hotel did walk along asking if guests required drinks from the bar.
Over all the beach was very clean, occasionally seaweed got washed up on the shore, however, sadly some guests would use the wonderful white sand as their own personal gigantic ashtray, which they did not clear up when leaving the beach.
Beautiful beach ideal place to relax and soak up the sunshine and it's atmosphere.

Arena Gorda beach in Punta Cana is great. Soft white powder sand & warm sea when I visited in October 2019. I would recommend this 100%.

We have been here several times, starting in 1999 and again this past February. We will be returning next year. For the price you can't find a nicer beach. There are nicer beaches, Turks and Caicos for instance, but the price is quite a bit more. There are many beautiful resorts here, hope you find one that is right for you, I know we have!

Nice beach but a lot of wind and waves. We went in January. Gusts are between 30 and 50 km/h. The wind does not bother, because it is warm but the water is turbulent. The downside is that water sports are cancelled.
Palm trees provide natural shade. The beach is very beautiful, the color of the turquoise water.

Clean beach and sand was easy on your feet. No seaweed in the water and water was warm enough. Swimming was good as the waves were not high and the sea was calm.
Lots to see as you walk on the beach and nice activities, volley ball etc. Really nice beach for a long walk and the sand was soft to the feet.

All in all its a very nice beach and beautiful sands it's like paradise but that being said just beware of the traders on the beach as they will do everything thing in there power to scam you like they tried it on with me. They ask if you want a pic with an animal either a monkey a lizard or a parrot and they have a bridge camera which looks very professional but that's where it stops, they take a few pics then say it will cost you 500 pesos and talk you into having 2 animals for 1000 pesos which in English is 16 pounds so I said only one Then I said when will it be processed and they said about 20 mins I said OK that's cool but they said I need my mobile and I said what for and they said to Bluetooth it to me I said my phone is in my room in the hotel so I was rather annoyed at this as I thought it would have been a proper picture But however when I went to get my phone from the hotel I felt cheated so I decided to play him at his own game but still a quick buck for him so I said I only got 5 dollars which in equation is about 4 pounds which is still a lot for 2 minutes work but however not as bad as getting fully ripped off he accepted this otherwise I said I don't want the pictures there was about 7 he took on his camera but he only Bluetooth me 2 His camera is Bluetooth enabled but don't expect a proper picture and beware on how they cheat you with the language barrier I suppose 5 dollars ain't to bad but would cost a lot more if you are not on top of your maths. Beware Beware Beware if I got that money for such a small investment a monkey and a camera I'd be retired in 6 months

Beautiful beach but every day was red flagged due to high winds. The extreme winds made going into the ocean dangerous and water sports impossible.

This part of beautiful sand beach was our most valuable summerbeach ever. It was cleaned thoroughly day by day. And it was not depend of the weather, but this beach is so great as right now as well.

Здравствуйте Скажите, высокие ли волны, можно ли с ребенком который не умеет плавать.Если кто знает какие волны возле отеля Маджестик?
Written October 9, 2019

Buenas tardes.
Estamos viajando a Luxury Bahía Principe Esmeralda a mediados de agosto.
Quisiéramos saber en que estado está la playa. Si se puede disfrutar o hay muchas algas y es preferible cambiar a otro destino con playas más limpias.
Muchas gracias,
