The waters was rough but I jumped in! The ship wreck was full of sea life and you should check it out if you love snorkeling!

I highly recommend diving the pillars of the dock next to the tug wreck. There is so much life on this dive site. While diving here in late may we saw multiple octopuses and eels.

Did this dive with a guide and felt it was worth it. I'm not directionally gifted and felt I would have missed the wall if on my own. That said, if you can get there - it's off the main roads - it's a great...More

With our bellies full of pancake carbs we continued east to tugboat to snorkel. The gps took us north of Willemstad instead of over the big bridge and there was tons of traffic and some of the round-abouts were like suicide missions. I finally decided...More

Its not often that snorkelers can get up close to a wreck site, but this one is perfect! Very accessible, good variety of fish, even saw an Eel. Not very big, so you can thoroughly snorkel the entire site in no more than an hour.

We went snorkeling here twice. The admission is free, to rent a lounge chair is $3. The tugboat wreck is not a long swim away from shore. The water isn't very deep and the snorkeling is easy. the fish are all over, as soon as...More

Despite the industrial look of the beach with the oil rig in storage (and once you find it), the tugboat is a great area to snorkel and see lots of colourful fish.Good clarity. You can access the wreck from two different beaches. Be sure to...More

I am sorry I did not see your question until now, and probably too late to help, but if not, yes the water is very smooth at tug boat.

Hi. It was nice and calm when we went and at the time our little grandson was only 6 months old and was able to come in with his parents.
