Snorkeling was nice. The tugboat is cool but not the most vibrant coral. Lots of sea life. Has as much fun exploring the coral and saw some beautiful fish. Kids had fun combing the beach for shell and beach glass. Some large iguanas hanging out...More

Its not often that snorkelers can get up close to a wreck site, but this one is perfect! Very accessible, good variety of fish, even saw an Eel. Not very big, so you can thoroughly snorkel the entire site in no more than an hour.

I went on a Tugboat & Snorkel tour with a girl Bernice. She was incredibly friendly, fun and adventurous. My wife was very nervous about the open ocean but very quickly she got her to calm down and REALLY enjoy herself at this spot. The...More

This was a surprisingly great location for snorkelling and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! We rented a car as part of our holiday and were glad we did rather than hop on a half-day excursion for the Tugboat Beach area. (I noticed excursions were...More

We took an excursion to visit this spot, and are real glad we did. The tugboat is interesting, the fish more so, and the coral on the piling under the warf I think the best part. Wish I could go back today! (Cold in Canada)....More

I am sorry I did not see your question until now, and probably too late to help, but if not, yes the water is very smooth at tug boat.

Hi. It was nice and calm when we went and at the time our little grandson was only 6 months old and was able to come in with his parents.
