The beach in Varadero was the highlight of our trip! The sand is clean and beautiful and there was very little seaweed.

Like silk. Walked the beach on a couple of days. Very wide. Generally clean (if not for the dorks leaving water bottles in the surf!).

Lovely beach...not much choice in the way of refreshments, but it will do :) Hire a deckchair for the day at $2, and the guys can also accomodate you with a packed lunch.

The beach in Varadero is what you would expect, soft white sand and warm, fish filled water. Varadero beach does not have any of the traps that you find elsewhere such as shops or beach bars, it is a lovely beach

The beach was clean and the staff paid attention to conditions. We had green flag, yellow flag and red flag days. The beach was always available to lounge on or walk the shoreline.

Definitely do not travel away from Havana where all the cruise ships dock. There are several beaches around Havana that you can visit and are closer to you .
